Well, considering how the big three played in the first half, it has to be Perk. And he deserves it for making that adjustment and not bringing the ball down so much. Hopefully he recognizes that it really helped him in this game.

KG. He put the game out of reach in the 4th, was phenominal on the boards, passing was great, he was +34 (2nd on team was +21) and he pissed off a bunch of Knicks fans in the Knicks game thread.
Perkins was definitely very good and it was nice to see him going up right away instead of bringing the ball down, but I think Paul Pierce deserves just as much credit, if not more for the majority of Perk's baskets. He was the one blowing by Q-Rich/Jeffries/Balkman, forcing Curry to commit and getting Perkings easy layup after easy layup by dishing it off at the perfect time.

I was actually only able to catch the first quarter when I went home for lunch today. I called my buddy who was at work and told him Perk had 15 points in the first quarter. He couldn't believe it. Perk gets my vote today.

I voted for Kevin Garnett.
Perk, despite a career high point total, is like Glen Davis and Leon Powe.
Perk makes a living off the double teams that PGA draw.
Besides that, Perk screens guys off the boards, and grabs a few boards.
Not a bad way to make a living.
And when NY tried to make a run in the 4th, KG put them away with 8 points of his 20 and probably 4 of his 13 rebounds. KG had 7 assists, anyone count how many were to Perk??

Gave it to Perk. Having those numbers while banging around with Curry all night has to be recognized. Garnett was phenominal, but Perk took a beating all night.

Perk, he dominated the game early. He won it for us.

In the post game interview, Doc said Perk stuck to the game plan in the first half (22 points), and forgot it in the second half (2 points).
Perk said that in the 2nd half he thought that he was KG. Part of that was because Perk said that he felt that the Knicks game plan was to make him make shots.
Doc said the game plan was for KG to high post, drawing one Big (Randolph) outside, and for Perk to set a pick (drawing Curry outside), and then for Perk to roll to the hoop.
Doc said that it worked like a charm in the first half.
Doc said in the second half, Perk started setting up initially in the low post to take a shot. Curry had him covered.
Doc said that Perk should view the first half of this game as a blue print for what Doc means by setting screens and then rolling to the hoop.

Give it to Perk. He plays great defense every night and never has the numbers to warrant a cigar. KG locked up the game, but Eddie House probably could've done that against this team.

This time, as an exception, I'd give the Victory Cigar to Isiah and the whole Knicks team.

Perk deserves it, but I gave it to Rajon anyway. Played great, especially considering he wasn't quite 100% and in limited minutes.

Hate to ignore Perk on a career high and totally respect the 6-6 from the line but lets get real he should have 30 if not 40 out there today.
Had to go with Garnett. Besides the crazy stat line just played like an MVP in the 4th quarter, that is what it is all about.

Garnett is the best player on the team night in and night out and could probably get this cigar every game, lol. One of the best all around players the game has ever seen, IMHO.
I voted for Perkins because he didn't come out in the second half and try to force things. He played solid defense, took up space in the middle, help slow down NY's bigs, still knew he was a role player and didn't let the 22 first half points go to his head.

I voted for KG because he found a ton of open people and flirted with the triple-dub

Another one of the (many) nights when there's no doubt KG was obviously the most important player on the floor, but one of our role players put up career numbers.
Tough choice.
Screw it, I'll just vote for Ray since Doc overplayed him again and he didn't complain or collapse on the foor.
