Though, it sure didn't take a "miracle" for Washington to beat them.

No offense, but this is pretty childish. Toronto played great and deserved to win the game. Lets just move on.

im not trying to piss anyone off------insert any other team in the league in the place of toronto

my excitement is that we had a shot to win a game that was unwinable----that really stands out to me, this is a special team

my other point is that i hope we pass our all time win mark--which stands at 68
this was all about celtic love
if you are not a celtic fan, just ignore it-------this is a celtic board

Yeah, it's sad we have to worry about offending raps trolls on the Celtics board. That's f**ked up!

Very exciting that it takes a record-setting night to beat the Celtics. People need to realize how rare it is to hit 15-21 shots. It's been done one other time since '86. Meaning, a team has hit 15 shots at that percentage or higher.

Whether it happened before '86 I don't know, but I'd doubt it.

Hey - Raps fan here. Yes we are omnipresent. I apologize for all the morons who come in here to start fights/etc and generally ruin these boards. Anyway...

I don't know how you could offend anyone... let's just say that Raptors fans had the same reaction. AKA How could we possibly win a game where:

Boston had 23 fast break points, Toronto had zero
Boston had 56 points in the paint, Toronto had 16
Boston had 12 turnovers, Toronto had 18
Boston had 16 offensive rebounds, Toronto had 4
Boston took 89 shots in the game (and hit a very respectable percentage), Toronto took 69

So if you look at it from our perspective, it's actually pretty unbeleivable that the Raptors won. All in all, there's no denying that the Celtics played extremely well. Luck of the draw, solid game (we'll take it!), and I've got to say we're all jealous of your place on the standings.

Cheers, and for the record: Raps fans are not all idiots--we don't think you guys are all as heinous as Tommy either :P

it seems some cool raps fans come here, when you go over to the ras boards its like watching teenagers converse.

when I was watchingg the game I just kept saying wow...I wasnt even mad we were losing cause the offensive showing the raps were putting up was amazing.

it also amazed me we could have won a game no one would have been in on their best night. how I still dont know, an amazing game and numbers the celtics put up and would have beat most teams and an even more amazing night by the raps.

dont remember a game we were losing or lost and I want mad about. :) its cool to see professional actually shoot as well as that get paid. :)

amazing night for the raps and you have to recognize how cool of a shooting night it was from them. was cool to see two teams shot so well.

alot of the fbreak pts came early off turnovers
you guys didnt need the paint---shooting like that, why would the paint matter
you guys did have a lot more turnovers than usual---i believe you are 2nd in league in fewest turnovers--we are the best D
there were no offensive rebounds for you to get----everything went in
we took so many more shots to over come all the one and done from you

if you can shoot that well as a team every night your stats will be all over the place but you will win and win and win some more------8-9 shooters

Yeah, the trolling thing goes both ways too--we had a couple Celts fans on our board before the game starting threads like "Atlantic Sweep FTW" etc etc. As long as we all ignore the morons I think we'll be fine.

Considering the turnovers and the offensive boards, we were surprised as anyone that we won. When you take 20 fewer shots against the best defensive team in the league (who themselves shot almost 50% and took a few more free throws), you can't expect to win.

We were also pretty surprised to hit 15-of-21 threes considering that our best 3-point shooter never even attempted one :P - That was definitely a game for the ages, and I wish the hoop could be that wide every night. Again, you guys played unbelievably well too. Nobody can make interior passes like the Celts. Admittedly, the things the Celtics tend to do well are things that tend to be very consistent (which shows, judging by your record).
