Rondo Lost his Shot?

Rajon was money with that 16-18 foot jumpshot in the beginning of the season. He quite obviously worked on it all summer and immediate results were showing. After this whole injury bug Rajon has experienced, I think I have only seen him hit one jumper in all of January. This is a little discouraging.

I think part of the reason for the team's offensive woes lately have been because teams are still sinking back and daring Rondo to take this shot. I love Rajon and think can get to a pretty high level in this league if he can start banging that jumper again. How deadly would a pick and roll combo with Rajon and KG be? It can't be right now because the defender is staying under tha pick and Rondo won't burn him with the jumper. When he can hit that shot at a high clip, the league needs to look out.

A lot of the success of this team lies in the hands of Rajon. The team doesn't run nearly as well when he's not in there. He is a young, second year player that will continue to have his ups and downs. Here's to hoping that he's having an up part of the season in the playoffs and finds his shot again.

The last jumper I remember him hitting is against the Knicks.

I think that while his jumper still has ways to go, right now the main issue is his confidence.

He really hasn't even been attempting them very much, that injury seems to really throw him out of his rhythm in that regard.

i love that spin move he did against Dwight right near the end of the game - the ball spinned around the cylinder a few times. he totally schooled dwight. he really needs to cut to the basket and make layups with his speed. like a tony parker or devin harris.

jumpers are nice, but getting near the hoop for a higher percentage shot is what i wanna see more of.

Rondo's free throw shooting looks much improved. He is certainly getting to the rim against the Heat. The meduim range jumper will come in time. Rondo can play!

To be honest he never really had a jumper save for a few games where he was hitting. I like Rondo but at 22 if you cannot shoot the ball you probably never will be able to.

After the Orlando game earlier in the year at home I checked the shot chart on NBA.COM and Rondo was shooting almost 60% from inside the 3-point line to the paint. And it was on more shot attempts than Ray Allen so he was shooting a lot of inside jumpers.

Tony Parker's knock over his first few years was that he couldn't shoot and I sure wouldn't leave him open today.

Shooting a midrange jumper is not brain surgury. Will he ever be Reggie Miller? NO! But Rajon could develop a consistent jump shot with coaching and repitition.

I agree that his jumper is off right now but I attribute a lot of that to his injury problem.

This guy is a jumper away from being a borderline All-Star and I think he has the ability to develop one.
