The title of the thread says it all. It seems like we have had numerous threads on every player on our team, even Pruitt and Pollard, just Posey for whatever reason doesn`t really seem to be in the spotlight on this board although he definitely deserves it!


When we signed him I was really excited and though he was a great addition but I certainly didn`t imagine he would have such a huge impact on this team.

It seems like he always makes the right plays on the court. His defence is sensational, the way he takes charges is a thing of beauty. He has hit numerous big threes also. He was cold for a short stretch of games but now he found his touch again.

He really is the ultimate role player. And for all the stuff he does on the court, his off court leadership and experience make him even more valuable and important for this team.

Posey has really turned out to be the best free agent signing in years. I expected some good things from him but I never really though he was this good.

Top priority in the offseason should be (if he opts out, which is very likely) to retain James! He is extremely important for the way we play, especially on the defensive end, and we just can`t afford to lose him. I really have no doubt that Danny and the owners feel the same way and that they will resign him to an extension in the summer.

I am absolutely thrilled we have Posey on this team and am really looking forward to watching him in green uniform in the second half of the season and hopefully for many more years in the future.

Posey is going coconuts from beyond the arc recently. I just love him! His energy, defense and dirty play (to a certain extent) are always there. In fact, we wouldn't be so good without Posey. Probably barely over .600.

If the C's don't extend his contract they would have to be insane.

Posey gets love. Like i said before I think the Gomes to Posey change is an upgrade for us despite the lack of fantasy numbers.

My goodness, yes, the Gomes-to-Posey swap was an upgrade to say the least, when you consider the fact that the team has ample scoring options and his impact on the defensive end. I'm not discounting Gomes' ability and production and intangibles, but, this team still needs this kind of stopper along with KG at the end of games.

Kudos for having the foresight to start this thread as it's well deserved for a guy whose night in and night out contributions generally go unnoticed because they aren't always reflected in the stat line.

If scal is a glue guy, Posey is a cement guy. Every time Pos makes a three I think, "how did that go in?" He's got like one foot in front of another and it's chucked at a 170 degree angle. But man that defense. He got in Dirks head. He let Dirk go right to the rim in one possession and Dirk Rondo'd it off the side of the rim (come on rondo, make more than 60% of your lay ups). Posey is the true sixth man of the year.

Po-Z is a great teammate.

Sublime intensity, as intense as a guy like KG, albeit in a less extroverted sort of way.

James has been huge. I never knew he could play such good defense and take so many hits. I knew he could but never realized how much.

hits the 3, seems to be in the right place.

this guy is huge on our team. Miami was really dumb to let him go. hopefully we can keeep him.

it is amazing his 3's go in. I think the same thing. "how the hell did that go in ? it looked terrible"
