i was thinking last night about the many players that we have acquired and overrated. i was chuckling about some of the comparisons we used to make
i.e "d-west is the next Bibby"
"Gerald is the next T-mac"
"Oriene Green is the next J-kidd"
"Brandon Hunter is the next Barkley"
etc etc so it got me thinking ..... Where the heck is Justin Reed? (who by the way was the next Ron Artest) is he in the league still?

He was sent from Minnesota to the Rockets in the Juwan Howard trade. He's a free agent right now, so I guess the Rockets didn't see much of Ron Artest in him.

Reed's in the d-league playing for the Toros, last night he lit Utah up for 34. He's been putting up big numbers every game, he'll prolly be back in the nba soon. All the games except for Tulsa have a live feed you can watch over at d-league.com.

Yikes ... were people really comparing Oriene Green to Kidd?

I believe Orien was compared to JKidd during the summer league in which he was actually showing good PG skill (I remember a bounce pass on the break which even Tommy said only the likes of Cousy could make) but like I said it was just summer league.

there was a game early that season where oriene made a nice alley oop pass to blount ( i think) and the jkidd comparisons were still happening! lol anywho glad to hear about reed i thought he got in trouble in houston for weed possesion or something. hopefully he will find his way back to the nba
