Danny should really sign this guy for vet min.

Would he go for it?

We still have 2 spots in our roster.

Brown and Cassell (if he gets buyout) would be a good bench overall.

I don't think there's another player I'm more sick of that everyone seems to wants on this team, to be honest (toss-up with Payton). He has no mobility left at all from what I saw last year.

Plus I really love what I've seen from Powe and Davis out there together.

PJ's had over half a year of extra rest--- if he's in shape he's worth a look. Signing him and Cassell will give us a very deep team to take into the playoffs. With Pollard so oft injured, the extra size would help. Plus, the moves LA and PHX just made make the need for additional interior defense even more important. We could be meeting one of those teams in the finals.

Its a good idea Insane, I would love to see the C's sign him and Cassell. Baby and Powe have been great, but the deeper this team is the better chances we have at a title.

You could be right, but if we decided to sit the big 3 towards the end of the season PJ could be a decent backup for Powe.

IMO, there is a reason these guys are not playing and I don't think it is because they don't want to. Particle is right, they just suck now. This team is winning, even without Garnett. When they lose, it is close. They are fine.

Aside from Cassell the other player I would love to see on this team is Kurt Thomas. He is in the same situation as Sam and I am still hoping he doesn`t get traded and is later bought out.

So, I would definitely wait and see how the Thomas situation resolves itself before trying to sign someone like PJ.

PJ Brown was asking for the full MLE and nobody gave it to him, that's why he's not playing. He's asking for too much. Same thing that happened with Boykins; he thought he was a big money player, but reality kicked in.

Hopefully PJ gets as level headed as Earl and accepts whatever offer is put in front of your face.

PJ hoped CHI would use him in a sign and trade deal as an expiring contract. He could have gotten millions for nothing. After the trading deadline is over he will be ready to sign with someone...

Speaking of CHI, this is OT but they really should have gone that route. The Bulls beat GS last night in Oakland w/o Deng, Gordon, and Heinrich. They looked pretty good, too. Now, think of basically that team with Kobe and Gasol added. They actually had the pieces and contracts available to make that happen.

Well, they basically did what most everyone accused DA of doing: falling in love with their young talent to the degree that they envisioned contender status with no major shake-ups. Last year Steve Kerr and Doug Collins couldn't go 10 seconds without kissing Paxon's butt about what a great job he'd done and now he's perceived as one of the lame-duck GMs in the league (although Collins is still making excuses, naturally).

Ownership was also key in what has happened to the Bulls. Reinsdorf wouldn't sign off on an extension for KG and wouldn't allow the team to sign Nocioni to that ridiculous contract only to then sign PJ Brown and sign and trade him for even more jack. On the second one I can't really blame him. The S&T of PJ Brown for Gasol would have put them at the tax threshold with 9 guys under contract and not the 9 you would really want. But the situation was created by the whole Ben Wallace/Tyson Chandler debacle that there is really no defense for.

pj brown used to be a pretty good defender, but last year, he lost all of his lateral quickness.

right now, he is just not physically capable of contributing. i much rather take a flyer on rod benson
