Heres KG and Paul Pierce in 1995 at the Las Vegas Easter Classic. I don't think this is online anywhere. I couldn't find it atleast. I found it in a issue of Blue Chip Illustrated that someone gave me...

Ray still got game.

Paul: Yo Kevin, I had a dream last night we were in the NBA playing for the Celtics together....
Kevin: Oh for real?
Paul: Yea, and we had this goofy-looking red-headed guy on the team named Scal who our coach insisted on starting for some reason, we had this fat kid named Big Baby, and this point guard that looks like E.T...
Kevin: Crazy dream, man...

Paul: There was some other guy who was supposed to be a superstar, but we ended up carrying him to. He had some funky anckles in the dream and he didn't take care of them properly.
Kevin: Was the kids name Wally?

Yeah, he kept trying but couldn't pass. But soon after he declared for the draft, he got his latest test results, which he passed. It was on Beyond-The-Glory.

oh the horror! michigan is a great sports school, but the thought of him and jamal crawford on the same team would make me wanna puke.
lol at kg passing after he declared. that's like out of a movie. something tells me it wasn't because he was immature or too stupid to learn, but because he spent all day in the gym playing like a skilled 28 year old in stead of a 17 yr old...
then again he came out of high school at 19, instead of the usual 18. did he fail or did he start school late?
JO had a similar problem. on the last day of testing, he went to the testing building, but they didn't have his records and he couldn't get to the right building on time so he missed it. so he declared instead. he's had a great career nonetheless.
how long before someone uses it as an avatar? cute kids they were!

What does it mean to not pass the SAT? There is no pass/fail mark. You just get a score from 400-1600. I can't imagine a school would require a certain SAT score from it's prize basketball recruit.
Cool picture.

Schools set minimum entrance requirements for scholarship athletes. If you can't reach a certain level on the SAT, and if your GPA isn't high enough, they cannot admit you despite your skills. It's meant to make sure that the athletes can handle the curriculum level at the school.
KG had a pretty tough time in high school. His junior year, he was present while a bunch of students beat up a exiting white kid during senior day. In the state of South Carolina, such race-motivated crimes can be charged under lynching laws, which meant that, even though KG didn't lay a finger on the kid, because it was a mob crime, he can be held liable. In order to keep Kevin out of jail, his family left the state and moved to a poor area of Chicago where he could concentrate on basketball. While in Chicago KG performed well on the court but his life at home was very hectic.
I found the Beyond The Glory episode on him on youtube. It's probably good viewing for all celtic fans.

have you seen crawford? i wonder how long he'll go without making the playoffs. i see this is year 8 for him!
no, i think jamal is 4 years younger than kg. pretty sure jamal was born in 1980, so its possible.
dominate and crawford don't go together. but then again, zach randolph managed to go to the final four i think the one year he went to MSU...

Garnett and four others were charged with second-degree public lynching -- the victim suffered a hairline fracture of an ankle -- and after going through a pretrial intervention program for first-time offenders, the charges were dropped. Garnett has always maintained he was just a bystander, like many other students, and not a participant in the incident.
He enrolled at Farragut, where he helped the school to a city title, a 28-2 record and the state quarterfinals. With colleges panting, Garnett struggled to make the qualifying SAT score. The NBA was waiting.

a LOT of good, sometimes great players get put in sh** situations.
See: Brand, Elton
and yeah, it didnt have anything to do with the pros. JJ Reddick dominated in college, as much i hate Crawford, im pretty sure his skillset would do him well if he had a KG-type player on his team. and hey, it aint his fault he got traded into that mess
