I'm not sure if I'd do it because Gadzuric is so overpaid, but we would be trading Scala.

I love Leon, but he's no Center. He's only 6 ft 7 whereas Gadzilla is 7 ft tall.

is he really?? id prefer if anything to wait it out til Pollard is 100%. . even though id do just about anything to get rid of scal these days

we can't do this till we get a PG.

With TA gone we have House at PG and SG back-ups and Posey at SF/PF back-up.

With a PG like Stoudmire at least then we'd have enough bodies to throw around.

This is the classic case of a small trade that can help both teams though, MIL get's TA's birdrights and he can help them in the future. And we get a consistent back-up Center while replacing the SG role that TA holds with House.

Personally I think it would be acceptable if we did sign Cassel and didn't want to see if TA or House were fine with very limited minutes.

Probuly still woudn't happen with fear of chemistry issues from a trade, but it'd be a nice little thing if we get a back-up PG to shore up our big men.

I just looked at Gadzuric's contract and threw up a little in my mouth. This is awful for Boston, both talent wise and contract wise. The classic lets get an overpaid stiff because he is 7 foot tall and give up a good sg in the process.

Why trade Tony Allen just to free up salary from Scal's contract? We'd still be over the cap. Scal's not a prick like Blount was either, so why sacrifice TA just to get rid of the best tits on the team?

Why trade Tony Allen who is just starting to play like everyone hoped he would for someone who doesn't even play much on the Bucks (who are one of the worst teams in the league)?

TA to Dallas for Diop I would do in a heartbeat.

What do people see in Gadzuric? He doesn`t even get minutes on one of the worst defensive teams in the league and he is supposed to be a defensive center! Secondly, his contract is just horrible!

Cfan, you need to stay away from making trades. I don`t think you have managed to put one good deal together since you have joined this forum...

Although it is kind of fun when you make a trade now I guess. It brings back memories of the times you traded for every single player in the league and then posted the trades daily on this board...

We shouldn't trade Tony Allen he's an underrated swingman who can explode to the basket and is tough to guard. He will improve his ball-handling and when he does he's going to be a special player on our team. Trading Scal wouldn't be terrible however, but he's a positive influence on the bench which is good so I don't know if we want to get rid of that. Our team is good why mess with success?

(I'm going to address this one for cfan79, who's probably hiding in his mad science trade idea lab as I type.)

Because Tony Allen's value might never be higher, and Dan Gadzuric just rocks.

I'm sorry, I guess I've fallen off the wagon. Gadzuric is actually pretty good though when he gets minutes.

Yep, I love Tony, but his position is a dime a dozen especially if you've got a title contender. Players will bend over backwards to come to the C's.

I would do that trade but only for C. Villanueva. I do realize we would need to throw in a pick also.

CFan how can you propose the trade, then say 2 posts later you're not sure you'd do it? Just asking.

Because he is Cfan.

I sort of (and I mean sort of) miss Cfan's trade ideas and it is deadline time. It is kind of a like a cheesy commercial that drove nuts while it is playing and then makes you laugh years later.

I can deal with the idea that we might have to move TA but we better get somebody better than him coming back and Dan Gadzuric is not better than Tony Allen.

trade

Rivers said there are no trades on the table at this time. Tony plays good defense and it was noted by Ainge that scal has played good defense to. We shouldn't mess with the team. If Scal was shooting better from three we would be ok with him. He is not shooting the ball from three like in previous seasons 37 Percent for his career but seems to have lost it this year
