Ok, despite the title and that I have been very impressed by the way we have played without KG, I think we would be doing ourselves a disservice if we didn't mention one of the lucky breaks that has coincided withour lack of shotblocking bigs:

We have mostly avoided quick PGs. I've seen post diminshing Perkins after the SA victory, fundamentally missing a huge of his and KG's value. In addition to providing post defense he somewhat discourages penetatration and layups. We picked a good time to face Dallas w/o harris and SA w/o Parker, SA w/ Sam I am, Cleveland w/o a real PG, Minny w/Telfair. Basically we faced teams that weren't going to expose our temporary weakness.

Like I said I'm still happy about our play, but I do think we should be honest and acknowledge our decent timing.

Another way of looking at it is like this:

All those teams were lucky to play us without Garnett.

And they were also very lucky that Scalabrine was starting.

There, I said it.

Ya the C's without KG is a lot worse than any other team you mentioned without their PG. I would agree that it has allowed us to play less PG heavy, but at the same time it made our PG, Rondo, more of a scorer.

They played us without KG! And we won. We were the team that was truly weakened. In the Spurs game we were without our starting Center and Power forward. Theres always somthing... THE CELTICS ARE FOR REAL. Its hard to believe because we don't have spectacular names on our bench, BUT WE HAVE PROVEN TO BE FOR REAL WITHOUT A DOUBT NOW.
Ray still got game.
