Who do you credit, and no coping out, and saying all of them, but who is really responsible for the MASSIVE increase in our D? I think earlier in the season I would have said KG, but our D has been very good while he is out, some of it is scheme, but also our intensity level compared to last year is much better.

So who deserves the MOST credit for our improved D, Mr. Thib, Doc or KG?

I voted Thibodeau. Every team he's coached has been a great defensive team. KG is amazing and contagious, but the Garnett Wolves weren't necessarily great defensively as a team.

I think Paul Pierce deserves a little credit too.

KG is clearly the defensive leader who sets the tone and Posey is right there with him. But Pierce is a guy who always wanted this team to be defense minded to the point that there was a lot of friction between him and Doc in Doc's first season here. He has bought into the defense in a huge way.

I think Ray Allen and Eddie House are playing the best defense they can as well which just shows how teamwork and leadership brings out the best in everybody.

Tommy T all the way. I love the way he squats by the edge of the scorers table screaming the whole time. He's also not afraid to get on the stars asses if their not bringing it defensively. I also have to give credit to Doc for letting Tom run the defense as if he were a head coach. Obviously KG is the key to our defense but we've shown in the last 8 games we can play defense without him.

I think it is a combination of KG, who inspires people and wills them to want to play defense. Remember, anyone can play defense, but you really have to want to do it. That is where Tom T. comes in. Those who don't commit 100%, which are many, and they don't know it sometimes, can be masked by good defensive gameplans. It is the perfect defensive storm. Tom's gameplans with the fear of dealing with Garnett and getting in his way of acheiving his goal.

1.. Tommy Heinshon: each player is after the tommy point crown. f the mvp award. the tommy award > the all.

2. KG: the players fear him and respect him. no one wants to let him down. consequently every player busts their *** off.. probabby partly in fear that KG wold kiill them otherwise.

3. The TRUTH. you cannnot underestimate the importance of having the long time leader/captain buy into this defensive philosophy.

4. Tommy T: Tommy T has been great- BUT the schemes are essentially the same as they have always been. honestly, the difference this year is EXECUTION. Tommy T does play a part here, BUT i think the players, the team as a whole following the lead of KG and the TRUTH, has played an equally important (if not more important) role.

I don't know if that will happen. I'm actually worried that he's going to be the head coach somewhere else next year. To hear Van Gundy talk about him during the national broadcast makes it seem like he really wants a head coaching job. Van Gundy was saying how Tom should be a head coach in this league and that it's a travesty that he isn't.

I don't see Danny getting rid of Doc unless the team has a total meltdown in the playoffs. Is it possible to have 2 head coaches and name Thibodeau as a co-head coach? The only way we keep Thibodeau is to give him a big raise and a better title. Otherwise, teams will be trying to snatch him up, seeing how our defense has done a 180.
