It is finally great to see the Celtics back on top of the standings after how many years. It was certainly before the I-net messageboards were invented. I guess there isn't too much trade talk going on regarding the Celtics except maybe waiting for a buyout of Cassell.

My only concerns are the Garnett and Perkins injuries right now.

Detriot is breathing down our back.

The three worst teams in the league are the ones with the most ex-Celtics on them. Blount and RD are stinking up South Beach. Jefferson, Telfair, Green, and dear old friend Fatione are losing close games with Minnesota.
West and Szcerbiak come off the Seattle bench and contribute little. Any coincidence? I think it is an alarming trade.

And Raef LaFrentz is getting paid over $10 million/year gathering splinters in his fanny in Portland. Is this a great league or what?

There was a Dan Dickau sighting with the Clippers!

In addition to Blount and Ricky, the Heat have now acquired Marcus Banks giving them the ex-celtic trifecta. Blount and Ricky got to Miami via Toine, which Riley probably thought was a good deal at the time...It kinda shows you how much of a rut Danny had to get out of, to get the team that we have now.

Great point about the Celtics never being this good since message boards have been around. Maybe that's the problem, we're so used to misery and disappointment, our lamentations and personal opinions on how to right the ship, now we don't know how to react considering the talented type team unseen like this since 20 years ago...

Whoa, let's not exaggerate here. The Wolves and Sonics aren't among the worst teams in the NBA because of the former Celtics in their rosters. They are bad (for now) because they both traded away their franchise players for youth, expiring contracts and draft picks. Miami is awful because they failed to re-sign a couple of key role players (Posey, Kapono) and their two key players have been hurt (and also keep in mind the injuries to Mourning and Haslem).

I've been a Danny Ainge supporter from day one, but I won't give him credit for something he has nothing to do with.

LOL! Love that tape of Gnobli trying to lean into Tony Allen to draw a foul and Tony simply retreats and lets Manu fall to the floor with a wild shot.

Classic

yeah SuperDeluxe posted it the other day in a thread and I thought it'd make a good avatar. I love how smoothly Tony evades Manu while backing up with his hands at his sides.
