Anyone who watched basketball remembers how marc iavaroni always started the game then thurl bailey came in. Bailey always finished the game for utah. Scal is a nice role player. I will say Scal has played excellent defense. He is definitley a better defender in certain matchups than powe or davis. I think though scal should bang inside more to grab some boards but maybe the coaching staff doesn't want him banging inside. I think that Scal should work with clifford ray a bit teach him how to get better position fo ra rebound. Scal is big enough that he could get some boards.

Was Ivaroni a terrible player? Because that's what Scal is.

I almost fainted last night when Scal took a 3pt shot and actually made it.

Scal is not horrible he fills a role. He has played good defense and in certain situations he is a valuable asset.

His hands are not good. But he is good at boxing out. So he puts a player from the other team on his back, his teammates grab the rock.

Scalabrine may have the brain for the game, but he certainly doesn't have the braun.

Scal at least plays within Doc's system. He doesn't fiddle and diddle with the ball and keeps it moving on the sets. On defense he covers the guy he is supposed to.

Scal is so bad. I think if he was shooting 38 to 39 percent he would be useful. But, HE RARELY hits a 3. I don't see what his use is. It's 50 games, and he has done nothing.

I would be pissed if I was Pollard. How does Scal play ahead of me?

Iavaroni didn't start much for Utah did he? Thurl Bailey was the 6th man, but wasn't their lineup more like Eaton/Malone/a cast of thousands but not Iavaroni/Hansen or Griffith/Stockton.

Iavaroni started for the '83 Sixers, and I assume Bobby Jones finished the games...

Wow, I'll eat my words on that one . Iavaroni was in fact the starter in '87-88 and 88-89.

A guy like Austin Croshere is everything I wish for Scal to be.

lol the only thing good Scal has done in his 2 1/2 years here was provide comic relief for the awful season last year, other than that I cant name a single good thing he has done for this team.
