Congrats to the 2008 Celtics minutes per game leader.
One of the schools of thought among coaches is that any team's minutes per game leader is the player hardest to replace, AKA MOST VALUEABLE.
Whether that's a valid school of thought I don't know, but I do know that
Leon Powe, Kendrick Perkins and Glen Davis should send Thank You Notes to:
Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Eddie House and James Posey for spreading the floor with their 3 point shooting ability.
Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett for drawing double teams.
Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Tony Allen and Rajon Rondo for attacking the rim.
Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are the two common denominators for the Celtics 2008 offensive scheme.
And, by signing Ray Allen,
the Celtics traded for Glen Davis,
convinced Kevin Garnett to come,
which convinced Eddie House and James Posey to sign.
It seems like everything good this past year involves Ray Allen.
