Another Sprewell case.

I doubt he's broke, he probably just doesn't know how to run a restaurant

That is my guess as well. Many former sports guys have had their business fail. Remember MVP.com? This was a sports merchandise website run by Elway Jordan and Gretzky that failed miserably.

I don't live that far from that restaurant and there was a place there beforethat and it also closed. In the local paper when he first opened it said he put alot of money into the place tp get it ready. Perhaps itsthelocation bcause a previous owner had failed. People who have met Vin say he is very humble and a nive down to earth guy. I doubt he is broke.

It's said that movie stars blow money on houses and athletes blow money on restaurants.
Not that athletes don't get nice cribs now too ...

I guess the restaurant served alcohol and Gin Baker helped himself... don't judge me you were thinking it too.

Just sad. I really wish the Celtics had made a condition of him getting his buyout mandatory counseling and financial planning.
I really think teams can take a small step in helping these guys live more responsible lives.
