Dallas Mavericks get Pollard, E.House, Kidd

New Jersey Nets get Diop, Scalabrine, Stackhouse, Ager, Devin Harris, picks and money

Why would George change his mind? Even if he does and the trade actually goes through why would BOS be in it all of a sudden?

There is no way Danny would mess with our chemistry for a trade that doesn`t make us better...

We don`t need any trades at this point.

Why do the Celtics want all these awful players? This might actually be the worst trade you've ever proposed.

That being said, let's do it! YEAH! Juwon Howard! Darrell Armstrong! Jamaal Magloire! These guys were awesome in the 90s.

Maybe you should look at it again. Everyone we would be giving up sucks except for House.

Magloire >> Pollard
Ju. Howard > Scalabrine
Armstrong and George < House

P.S. why are you being a dick?

Juwan Howard just last season averaged

9.7 pts and 5.9 rebs

Jamal Magloire just last season averaged

6.5 pts and 6.1 rebs

w/ 9.2 pts and 9.5 the year before

Ooh, just what the Celtics need. Guys who can score 6 points with a 50 TS% and can't play defense. But I guess at least Maagloire can rebound well. Except now you have a truly horrible (though exceptionally well groomed) player in Howard and you don't have a backup point guard not named Tony Allen.

Would you seriously do this trade or are you just making a trade suggestion for the sake of it?

The only thing this brings to the table is some nice rebounding from a guy who wouldn't even play and some helpful grooming tips from Howard. And I guess Darrell Armstrong can tell the young guys what it was like learning the game from James Naismith.

I agree why wouldn't we do this trade. It certainly doesn't mess with any core except House and give us more depth.

I would definitely do this trade. Magloire and Juwan Howard are still solid roleplayers. Sure they aren't starters anymore, but they are big improvements over Pollard and Scala.

I don't see how this trade benefits the Celtics. I wouldn't mind Magloire as a backup center, but wouldn't really want to give up House for him.

Magloire can't get playing time on a team that has a horrible front court. Howard isn't playing for Dallas either. Armstrong in ancient and George wouldn't be ahead of TA or Posey. So we give up 1 solid rotation player in House and 2 end of bench guys in Pollard/Scal for 4 end of bench guys. Why?

I think the Nets style doesn't compliment Magloire well. With the Big 3 Jamal could possibly average a double double off the bench.

I think the Nets are too in love with small ball to properly utilize Magloire. With the Big 3 Jamal could possibly average a double double off the bench.

No, he coudn't. He would be behind Perk/Powe/Big Baby anyways as all of them are probably better right now. Magloire at this point in his career is a stiff...he has a PER of 1.77!

A double-double off the bench? Really? I think that our big man depth has been proven to really not be that big of an issue IMO. We could use a back up PG, but why would we trade one of them (even though he's not a good PG) for a grandfather?

Plus now, who's our token white guy? We wouldn't have one.

The worst part of this trade that no one has pointed out yet is not only would we be giving the Mavs eddie house.. but we would also be getting them Jason Kidd..

If we did this trade we would just have to sign a point guard and we'd be all set. We wouldn't have to worry about Perks injuries that he seems to get every season now. Maybe even sign Reggie Miller to help with the shooting off the bench.

Perkins/Magloire/Baby
KG/J.Howard/Powe
Pierce/Posey
R.Allen/R.Miller/T.Allen
Rondo/Cassell/D.Armstrong/Pruitt

That roster would be a playoff tested bunch. I love Baby and Powe, but they haven't really been in too many big game situations.

I'd much rather have 2 big guys who play then a big clown who sits at the end of the bench juggling.

And who are these 2 big guys who can play? All I see is Juwan Howard and Jamal Magloire who combined average a total of 2.5 points and 5 rebounds shooting 25% and 30% from the floor respectively. Their PER put together is 3.95 compared to Pollard's PER of 9.66. Watch out Dwight, Duncan and Shaq!
