We are 7-2 without Kg...both losses were winnable games and with him returning to the lineup Tuesday, in your opinion which player stepped up their game with Kg out of the lineup and contributed most to our sucess

TA, Posey, House, Big Baby?

Has to be Powe.

Rondo, with Powe a close 2nd. I gave the edge to Rondo because it's often him (and Pierce) creating Powe's offense for him.

Ray Allen averaged:

20.75 points @ 46%

4.375 rebounds

2.75 assists


Although Leon Powe and Rajon Rondo stepped up the most,

I'd say that Paul Pierce contributed the most to the team's success.

Powe, but really the whole team did.

I think Powe stepped up and Ray Allen stepped up and Rondo stepped up.

Most would say Powe - but that's a function of minutes. Powe was able to perform when given minutes last year that's why a few of us here were high on him in the Powe vs. BBD debate (in part).

I say Rondo. Why? Because Rondo without getting more minutes was able to go from an average PG in terms of production to an elite one. That's much more impressive. As Bill Simmons would say any legit NBA player can average 10ppg. But playing good D, with 16ppg a bunch of assists and rebounds - that's elite play.

In fairness to Powe - I don't mean to diminish him entirely - he did step up some just not as much as Rondo. Powe's athleticism seems better then last year - that's one thing I have noticed.

I really think its a 3-way tie between Rondo, Ray, and Powe....

The success of the three in inter-related, like most things on a basketball court...Rondo's increase in aggression and ball-handling/playmaking has allowed Ray to play more off ball and Powe has benefited from the spacing and increased attention to the perimeter defense by opponents...

Rondo has probably been the most instrumental in everyone else stepping up their game because he's the PG and controls the game offensively more often than anyone else, but these 3 guys have all contributed to the other's success...

Rondo. Powe wouldn't have scored as much without Rondo's penetration.

But Bill is right, they all stepped up, and that's what's really important, and bodes well.

I think its Rondo by a long shot. He's been our leading rebounder, has made our offense click for everyone, and has contributed well enough on the defensive end. His shots have been timely. I don't even think anybody's a close second. Even when House has played well during this stretch we are noticeably better with Rondo in the game.

Definitely Rondo. The team looks fluid out there when hes on the court.

It'd be tough to argue that he stepped up the most (so I won't) but I was really impressed with Posey during KG's absence.

Posey has basically played any position Doc has asked him to (SF, PF, and even C at times) and been fairly successful in all of them.

When we get everyone back i expect him to play even better because he can slide back into the positions/lineups that he is more comfortable in, but I think his defense, 3 pt shooting, veteran leadership, and general jack-of-all trades skill-set have been a big part of us maintaining our winning ways during all these injuries.

He's just so efficient out there, he doesn't demand the ball, picks his spots, shoots at a high clip...I really cant say enough about how much I support DA's free agent signings to bolster the roster after the trades (mostly Posey and House, but hopefully Scot will payoff eventually too).

got to be powe. for filling in on kg's shoes. then rondo 2nd. i hope rajon keeps up his play even with kg back.

This team has a handful of players that do the little things and don't always show up statistically, and Posey's definitely one of those players. I feel he's brought it pretty consistently all season.

I'll be interested to see how the offense runs when KG comes back.

Rondo has made the offense run VERY smoothly, I wanna see how KG plays into it when he returns.
