I think there's a chance for him to be waived by the kings. Let's pick him up if that happens. He's a perfect fit for us. he's a big pg, he can shoot, defend and run an offense. he was also impressive for the pacers in the playoffs. He won't complain about his playing time too.

I'd be really happy if he comes to boston.

What do you guys think?

I'm all for it. We just have to wait and see how the Cassell situation plays out.

I'm very interested in signing Johnson if he's cut.

If he's bought out, you mean.

I think Danny knows by now already if Cassell is going to be bought out (after all, he's a GM), and if he feels we can't get Cassell and have a need for a backup PG, he will look into players who are bought out or might try to trade for one.

As of right now, I don't know if Sacramento is interested in buying out Lue or Johnson, but it would make sense, as both are in the last year of their contracts. But one of them is going to be their backup PG, probably the better one.

And the only way we can acquire Lue or Johnson is giving them Scal, and I doubt they want the player and the years on his contract.

Honestly I'd take Lue over Johnson. Lue is the better shooter by far and he can actually bring the ball up the court confidently. Isn't that what we need most in a backup pg? If we're not getting that we might as well just stick with House. Nobody remember how Marcus Banks basically forced Tinsley to come back early from injury in the playoffs a few years ago because AJ could barely get the ball up the court? AJ is a good scorer, but not a good shooter really. Lue is the better shooter. Basically he's got better handles than House, but not as good of a shooter. It's a well known fact he's friends with KG too so chemistry would not be a problem. As a frequent poster on the Pacer board AJ was sometimes talked about as a bit of a locker room problem. So yea he might be the better overall player, but not for this team.

aj can shoot the 3 too as evident in his 3pt % and is better in running plays. he is also the big pg that we need if we go up against the likes of baron, billups and deron.

Does he even get the ball up the court any better than House against the likes of Billups and especially that Detroit full-court press off the bench, Baron's good defense (who we have 1 game left against anyways), or Deron (who we also have a whopping 1 game against). Is everyone really forgetting the problems he had with Marcus freaking Banks?? No thanks...
