If you watched the game nuff said.

I thought the west team was going to win the game but Ray Allen killed them.

If Ray Allen doesn't play in the All-Star Game

18:54 minutes, 10-14 FG's, 28 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 0 Turnovers

The West would have won the Game.

Ray was the MVP, but most paper and fan internet ballots were probably submitted
with about 3 minutes to go, just when Ray went SUPASTAR.

Doc was right to ride the hot hand in Ray, and have a Celtic on the floor at the finish.

It's also obvious to me that on the days when Ray is really ON,

unlike earlier in his career, when he'd keep shooting and typically score 37 to 52 points,

now he just does enough for the team to win. So, he doesn't have those big games anymore to pad his average.

Plus, he's taking 6 less Field Goal Attempts and 1.2 less free throws than last season.

Alright Ray. Going off like that. i almost wish that I watched the game.

^ No you made the right decision. Until the players start playing hard, then its not worth watching. Its a shame b/c US practice squad game during the summer was probably the best basketball I have seen in a long, long time.

Really great point.

I can't believe all the haters on the General Board talking about Ray not deserving to make it to the All Star game. If he was on a lesser team, say, even the Magic, he would be putting up huge numbers. With the Celtics he doesn't have to.

Lebron deserved to win the award. He had almost a triple double in the game. Ray was a close second though.

Really great point.

I also believe that the Ray's commitment to defense takes a toll on Rays numbers. He is a starter on the best defensive team in the league - takes some of the energy out of his offense

The East won the game because of Ray but oh well whats done is done, its not like we lost the Finals so I can live with it

Ray should have won, but they start voting too early, so all the Lebron votes were already in before Ray took over.

LeBron was MVP. I don't even know who Ray replaced in the game. Was it Caron Butler?, Anyway without LeBron East loses. LeBron carried the team

WORST case scenario.....Co-MVP's.....LeBron carried the team most of the game(which any of the All Stars could have done if they were allowed)....and Ray won the game for the East when the game was slipping away DESPITE LeBron having a huge game.....Ray Allen had the biggest balls when it mattered most!!!

Look the First team did their thing. If the second team wouldn't have stunk it up in the 3rd quarter this never would have happened. Ray didn't do that **** untill LeBron was on the floor with him. It gave him open looks. OPEN SHOTS?. Ofcourse he's going to make those.

Ray was 6-8 and had 14 points before his last 3 minutes of dominance.

If only he took 22 shots like LeBron did (and still had the ball in his hands not only enough to jack up 22 shots, but to turn it over 4 times and dish out 9 assists as well), he'd probably have an All-Star game MVP trophy.

yeah i mean ray was definitely the mvp cuz he totally turned the game around in the fourth quarter keeping the east afloat...that being said, lebron is lebron and he did his thing, but i don't believe he really went above and beyond what is expected of him. no one expected much from ray ray and he burned everyone

Sorry if I'm late to the party but the point should be made that a lot of the stats that gave LeBron an almost triple-double were accumulated during the "playground" portion of the game. Ray scored half of his total points of 28 in the last 4 minutes of the game when the game was in the balance.

IMO, both Ray and Lebron had great games. I don't think giving the MVP to either of them was a wrong choice.
