We could use another deep bench big. He put up good numbers in the D-league.

This guy has about 4 minutes of NBA game experience. He might turn out to be a player but if this is all we add to the team it ain't much for this year.

But there's not much out there that can really help right away. I wish we could land K Thomas but we don't have the pieces.

I have been saying all along that we need another perimeter oriented bigman. Scal is the number two perimeter guy on the roster but he cant hit a shot. I think Fazekas would be a nice guy to have at the end of the bench. He was really playing well in the dleague.

Hey 2 roster spots open, we sign him to the min, if a better big becomes available we can sign him too then cut one if we get a point, with 2 open roster spots it makes sense, his shooting could come in handy playoff time, especially if we face the magic and need another 7 footer with 5 fouls

What is Mark Cuban thinking? He is stupid. Fazekas will play better with KG.

I think he could be a decent role player in the league with some time, so if Ainge doesn't bring in any vets, he could add some depth to our future front court. Outside shooting bigs are tough to come by and why not give it a shot if it costs little.

Anyone over 6'10" that can tie their shoes should be of interest. We played the last game before the All Star break without a player over 6'8" available.

We need VETERANS!

Some young rebuilding team should give Fazekas a chance but certainly not the celtics! The last thing we need is a rookie...

I agree, he wouldn't play before Powe, Davis or Pollard so why bother.

I have always hated people saying we need veterans. We needs guys that can play period. Big Baby is a rookie and has proven to be a key guy off the bench. We need players that make our team more versatile. IMO, Our frontcourt needs a perimeter oriented bigman. Someone that can stretch the defense. I dont think Fazekas would play much if at all. But, He would certainly add another dimension to the bench that we dont currently have.

I think Fazekas would be worth the risk. Could he become better than Brad Miller?

No, he couldn't be better than Brad Miller.

Give him a shot, though. Why not?

How do you think he compares to Brad Miller coming out of college?

The Celtics are over the luxury tax threshold. They won't be adding anyone unless they feel the person will play serious minutes (10-20 minutes a game).

Wyc and the other owners are not going to just throw their money away on a player that won't play.

There's like a Fazekas thread on every board. I've never even heard of this guy until today.

Obviously when I say a veteran I mean a veteran who can actually play. But adding a rookie who played 9 !!! minutes this season and whose ceiling isn`t high to a team that is trying to win a ring this year (and is in luxury tax land) just makes no sense, I am sorry!

He could be useful, being more of a center than any of the backups save for Pollard. But i think his agent will try to get him to a team that will give him minuets.

You mean Fazekas out of college compared to Brad Miller coming out of college? I don't think anyone expected Miller to be this good when he was coming out of college, evidenced by the fact that every single team passed over him twice. Brad Miller has elite passing skills something which Fazekas just doesn't have. Miller is also a markedly better rebounder. He doesn't have quite as much range, but his range for a C is still excellent.

I don't know how they compare except that they are both tall white players with good outside range.
