The Celtics have arrived!

When Denver Nugget fans are going crazy at the prospect of playing and beating the Celts you know your back.

I expect it to be like this whenever they play a team in the west at home.

But they gotta do better then they did tonight, there wasnt one time a time out was called to get the crowd out of it to slow things down, and this team isnt use to this yet.

The fans? Did you see Kenyon Martin celebrating one of his last field goals?

Yeah and when the refs are against you, like they were tonight, you know everyone is gunning for you

Punk? What has he done to be labeled a punk? He works his a** off every night never mind coming back from injuries. I do still hate him from those nets playoff teams though. And yes we have arrived a win over us is huge for any team.

Worst onesided officiating I've ever seen. How many free throws did Iverson get?

20, but a good portion of those were the result of all of the intentional fouls.

Refs also made some awful calls in the Celtics favor (the goal tend of Rays three, when Pierce lost the ball out of bounds off himself, ect...). When the game is poorly officiated both sides feel angry.

If the Celtics hit their free throws, then maybe the game would have been different.

The Nuggets missed 15 FT's, the Celtics "just" 9. Even after missing those 15 FT's, the Nuggets still made more FT's than the Celtics attempted.

There were much more in favor of Denver though. Thank God Iverson's in the West. He gets way too many calls. There were some plays where no one touched him and he went to the line.

And how many FTs came on intentional fouls? 14.

How many more FT's did the nuggets get outside of those 14? 7

How many more times did the Celtics jack up 3's instead of attacking the basket? 16

Look, the nuggets are a better team at getting to the line. Its proven. The Celts send opposing players to the line much more often than the nuggets (staggeringly so when you take pace into account). Its proven. Now quit blaming the refs.

For what it's worth, I heard Donny say something about Denver's visitors having the worst free-throw percentage in the league.

That should have been a foul on the nuggets.

It was discusting watching last nights game, it is one of those games where the refs make mistakes and try to correct them but instead they feel like they made more mistakes, and it start being like quick sand.

No offense, but whose to say what were intentional fouls. We can't exactly determine from either teams fan's perspective. A foul to a Denver fan could be just good defense in a Boston fans mind.

Dude, I can promise you every Celtics foul in the last minute was an intentional foul. Its not even up for debate.

...this guy is 100 percent on the mark...

FT discrepancy isn't an instant indightment of the refs in favor of the home team, the Nuggets EARNED a vast majority of their FTs and Boston was much less aggressive with the exception of Pierce/TA/Powe/Rondo-all of whom got to the FT line...

The Celtics bombed away from distance after Camby started owning the paint...Pierce was the only slasher for most of the evening...

...the officiating was bad, but it was bad all around...the Celtics were reaching on defense all night though, so its not like Denver was getting touch fouls...Boston was terrible defensively and it led to many FTs...

I agree with young gunz and bill. The officiating was bad, but it was bad for both teams. I hate how so many of you guys always think officiating is so biased against the Celtics. It hasn't been that way all year and it wasn't the case last night.

Stop whining. As much as we've been screwed, we've also gotten the breaks. You can't be 41-10 without getting some breaks. So let's stop all these whining about biased officiating.

All I know is that Iverson and Carmelo had to combine for m nearly 60 points to win. To do this they took a combined 33 foul shots. Plus they are a team only 4 games back of first place in the West.

If that is what Denver needs to do to win, with all those bad calls and KG most definitely not back to full strength... then all this game does is make me more excited about the Celtics
