What sources is saying that? I can't see it anywhere (then again I'm in Australia so that shouldn't be a surprise).

I like it for them, but I like the Artest deal a lot more.

Oberto, Duncan, Artest, Manu and TP is far and away the best team in basketball. As it is, they are still the best team in my mind, but Artest would bring them to a new level, IMO.

still working on alternative ways to bring in Artest. But with Denver close to including Linas Kliesa it doesn't look like the Spurs will get an Artest deal done.

Kurt Thomas is a good player to add, but losing Barry Hurts.

Phoenix being cheap may come back to bite them more than they ever thought, too. Not only did they trade a solid post defender (along with 2 1st rounders) that they could certainly use in Kurt Thomas, but now they see him get dealt to the team that they need to get past to win a title.

How is that for a move by Seattle, though? They get half a season of Kurt Thomas and 3 1st round picks for nothing.

I think if the Spurs can still get Artest they will be the faves to win the championship. Otherwise, it will be tougher than ever for them.

Errrr...can SA flip KT in the next 24 hours, i.e., for Artest?

As I recall, Darth supported that belief. Unfortunately, all of Darth's posts, were he vouched for DDB's "reliability" in regards to posting "rumours" have been deleted from this thread.

Yeah, I actually have zero doubt that ddb once worked for the Spurs. I was just curious about now is all, but ultimately I don't really care who his sources are. They're obviously quality sources, the deal was practically a done deal according to reports.

I enjoy his contributions, as well. I just found it odd that all of Darth's posts were deleted from that thread after he vouched for DDB. If someone has an idea, rumor or whatever, it brings something to the table to stimulate discussion.
