Thoughts on Boston's Success....

Any chance it's due to the contributions of Brian Scalabrine?

He really seems to be blossoming at the right time.

Well, he went down with an injury, and the next thing you know the Celtics lose three in a row.

It's got to be tough for Boston to win without Scal contributing his triple-single every night.

I've got to say - gutsy move by Boston management to turn down that three way trade where Scalabrine went out, and Kidd and Marion came in.

It'll pay off come playoff time. Plus - he has significant playoff experience against Detroit.

It must be nuts to never win an NBA title like the Nets have been doing so well for the last 40 years.

triple single? more like triple-zero. A lot of games the only stats he racks up are fouls.

Making fun one of our players is kind of being a jerk.

Come on, nobody here remembers the "Brian Scalabrine / Tayshaun Prince are blossoming at the right time" threads?

No harm meant at all.

I think NJ is on to something, w/o Scals:

The bench is not anchored properly....
Towel waiving is down 90%

It's had its impact, stats don't lie

Nice profile picture.

I hear that KG volunteered to take a paycut to resign Scal in two years, any truth to that?

Notice how the Nets went from a title contender with Scal to barely hanging on to the playoffs without him, the Celtics conversely went from mediocre without Scal to the best team in the league with him.

Yeah, Scal is THAT good.

Absolutely. The only reason KG ever approved the Boston trade in the first place is because he wanted to play next to Scalabrine.
