Celtics depth chart

Post#1 » by sackings916 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 2:57 am

Is this accurate:

Rondo/Cassell
R.Allen/T.Allen
Pierce/Posey
KG/(Powe or Davis?)
Perkins/Brown

Who's ahead on the depth chart at backup PF between Powe and Davis? I think Powe is a better option than Davis in that role. But I havent watched as much of the Celtcs as you have, so who would you prefer to have the backup PF spot? Does the rest look accurate or do the Cs plan to start Cassell over Rondo? Brown over Perkins?

I would say that is pretty accurate. Powe and Davis should end up splitting minutes...Powe could possibly get the nod more often than Davis, but it might just depend on who is hot and the matchups. Can't forget that House will still get some minutes as well.

I think we'll still see some smallball. I don't expect Perk and Brown to split a full 48 minutes. And I don't expect Posey to be confined to those times Pierce is on the bench.

And then we have the exotic situational lineups.

E.g., must score in the last few seconds probably =

Cassell, House, Allen, Pierce, Garnett

Must get stop probably = Rondo/T. Allen/Pierce/Posey/Garnett, unless more size is needed, in which case Brown or Perk is probably in the mix.

If you need to get a stop, I'd replace Posey with Brown (if we need a stop, we'll need to get the rebound too).
