The Celtics are only a .500 Team this year against the Eastern powers
Of Cleveland, Orlando, Toronto and Detroit.
We currently have a loosing record to Orlando as they beat us 2/3 tries.
We are 2 out of four against a Cleveland team that has made some significant changes.
We beat Toronto 3 out of the four meetings.
And now a little pre-courser to everyone favorite Wednesday meeting with the Detroit Pistons. We are currently split with them with each team winning on the other home court. This is the "rubber" match which would give us the season series and put us over .500 with these 4 Eastern teams.
I'm glad the Celtics made changes as they had flaws which have been somewhat addressed by PJ and Sam I am an Alien Cassell.
Love Sam I am .

Against CLE we lost one game in OT. Ray Allen missed 2 free throws with 23 seconds left in the regulation with the game tied. We lost the second game by 1 point.
Against TOR we lost 1 game by 2 points when TOR shot 71,4% from three point line and 100% from free throw line.
We lost to ORL by 2 points and on a buzzer beater 3 without KG...
We lost to DET by 2 points on 2 free throws by Billups after the buzzer...

If your point is that a trip to the finals is far from guaranteed, you're very right about that.
That said, I'm struggling to think of many championship-winning teams whose second-best player was no better than Rashard Lewis or Zydranaus Ilgauskas (sp?). (I'd put Rasheed the year he won his ring ahead of either of them.)

Without Ray Allen and Glen Davis. Yes, we would have won if they played.

Bingo.
Good teams get good records by pummeling bad teams and pushing against the other good teams...
