Really, I mean think about our Ricky Davis Paul Pierce teams, they were basicly 37 win teams, nothing amazing but they were much better record wise then the heat have been since marion was aquired and all season. They have 3 wins in there last 30 games, i mean this is really really bad. D-wade was out for part of that, and Marion was no there for most of it, but seriously how can they not be winning 4 out of 10. How can Marcus Banks, Mark Blount and those three not add up to a 40% winning percentage (which would be 33 games). They are light up front yes, but if Ricky and Pierce could get to the playoffs with no help, how come D-wade, Marion and Ricky with 2 of those same pieces from the pierce ricky years do it? The Heat managed to beat the increadibly young and equally woeful sonics and pacers, had a good win against the kings, but besides that havent won since dec 22nd.

It's contagious I guess. I also think when there's common understanding around the team and management that that lottery pick is the best way to win long term, everybody's performance and execution becomes second tier. It doesn't mean they're tanking, it's just a frame of mind.

Wade is overrated.
As ESPN stated he is the new Penny Hardaway. Commercials, injuries and all. Only difference is he and Shaq won their finals appearance.

why you worried about offending anyone? miami fans know their teams suck.
you would be offending me if you said "why are they so good"

...and BINGO was his name-O !!
It's unfathomable that as recently as a year ago people thought he was better than LeBron. LeBron and 11 D-leaguers would have more wins than Miami this year. It's pathetic.

LOL I don't hear anymore comparisons to Kobe Bryant now. Wade is so overrated. Plus any team with Blount and Ricky Davis is bound to stink.

This isn't about Wade, that team is awful and injury plagued but more than that is Riley. He gave up on this team 2 weeks into training camp. While Riley is a great winner as a coach he isn't really a great coach, he does have the touch and patience to work through a difficult situation but nobody was going to take the reigns from him only to have him steal them back when glory is in sight.

1. Marion questioned his teammate desire to win (and it isn't a surprise with banks, davis, blount in there, they all care about their stats)
2. Wade is overrated, and he just went from playing with a dominant big guy to playing with Blount. It really makes a big difference
3. Marion didn't learn from Joe Johnson, he had to do it himself. Well, he is the second option on that team, lets see what you could do.
4. Paul was more of a veteran when he played with Davis and Blount. if you these guys plaid with him in 2000, we would be just as bad.

the team is filled with rejects from other team, bad contracts no one wants and a dwayne wade who is injured and not all that good to begin with.
basically, they are turning into a mini-knicks.
also, smush brings bad luck to anywhere he goes.

Yup. I think the only people who weren't predicting a Miami Heat demise were Heat fans, ESPN(of course), and casual NBA fans.

Everytime I see Pat Riley screwed, it brings a smile to my face. I despise that man, everything about him, including;
- his Armani suits
- his hair (dude probably has enough crude oil in his hair which, if turned into gas, could probably fuel a road trip from Boston to NY in a Hummer)
- the way he criticizes his players through the media
- how he quit as a coach in 2003 when it looked like the Heat weren't going to be very competitive that season
- how he kicked Stan Van Gundy to the curb in 2005 so he could take over a championship-caliber team
- how he runs his players into the ground with his grueling practices. There's a reason why Magic got him fired from the Lakers. There's a reason as to why Shaq wanted out of Miami. It comes as no surprise that he's now been voted the coach that players would least likely want to play for.
Like I said, I enjoy watching Pat Riley suffer. Never liked him. He looks like a scumbag. To his credit, he is a helluva coach though.

I expected Miami to deteriorate, but not to the extent they did this year. I thought they'd be in the mix for a 6-8 seed (which would have been realistic considering how weak the last few spots are this year) and at worst a late lottery pick.
When you look at it though, it's pretty obvious. Losing Posey and Kapono really hurt them. They've been plagued with injuries (kind of like how the Celtics were last year), Shaq really lost a lot in terms of production, Marion wasn't going to do it all himself, and they're weak outside of Mario and Wade both defensively and offensively. There's been huge mental gaps with them, they lack chemistry (they have Banks, Blount and Ricky, that's no surprise there), Wade's just been having a mistake filled year, and they just aren't getting any positive impact on games outside of Marion or Wade.
It also doesn't help that they're going to regret not using Ricky's or J Will's expirings to make a deal, like how Chicago fell off after not making a move a couple times (once with Brown's contract). They could have had a Kapono replacement in Miller, but missed out on that.
The loss of Kapono and deterioration of Shaq really showed a lot about Wade. Think about how Paul's done a lot this year when he's had guys like KG and Perk inside and Ray on the perimeter. It opens lanes for himself to drive and Dwyane just isn't getting that with Blount as their best inside presence. On the plus side, they could get a guy like Beasley or Lopez that'll really help free up Wade in the upcoming years.

They stink because they traded Antoine Walker.
