Could Ray Allen's future replacement be Shan Foster?

What makes me think so? I don't... Just a thought somewhat based on his profile description of his strengths on NBAdraftdotnet.

At the moment, NBAdarftdotnet has Boston selecting Shan Foster with the last pick in the second round this year. Ironically, I'd just saw an article on him featured on the main page of CBSsportslinedotcom beforehand which prompted me to visit the aforementioned draft site to read a little about who he is. And would you believe it... There's his name for the Celtics' second round choice. That's funny... Anyways, what's your take on him to those already familiar with him as a player? He's a senior and Ainge has shown in the past a willingness to take a chance on a four-year player in the second round. Ryan Gomes wasn't a bad pick. Other second round players drafted by Ainge who were seniors included Orien Greene, Justin Reed and Brandon Hunter.

...I can tell you he won't be there with the last pick of the 2nd round...maybe the last pick of the 1st round, but most definitely gone in the 30's...

Ray Allen's "replacement" though? I think he'd be a GREAT understudy in terms of him learning to move in the offense off-ball like Ray, but it remains to be seen if this kid has the aggressiveness and the balls to be more than a role player...

..certainly a player I'm in favor of drafting though...I see a lot of good things in his scoring game, just don't know if he's an SOB who wants to dominate yet..it'll take relentless tenacity to become a big time player when scoring is his only skill...

No one can replace Ray Allen until he is gone.

Foster will go much higher than that, while his strength is shooting and that is one will ignite his NBA career, he can be more than just a shooter.

Chris Lofton on the other hand, not so much.

I'd said future replacement. Nothing more. He just reads like Ray Allen to me based on what writers have said online are his strengths. That is to say, that Foster exhibits some of the same good skills as a young player that Ray Allen has exhibited for a long time in the pros. Conversely, I never said Ray Allen is done. If that's the impression... People need to understand the difference between when someone writes he will versus could he. As to say, Could Ray Allen's future replacement be Shan Foster?

NBA Comparison: Shandon Anderson

Strengths: 2-guard with excellent athleticism and shooting ability

No way he is the last pick in the second round. He is probably the best catch and shoot players in college at 3 point range and when he is hot, he can stroke like Vinnie.
