Do we get an injury exception from Pollard?

I'm not sure how that all works{injury exception}. I'm wondering if we now get one and should we use it.

If the answer is yes then WHO?

I think you're right and I'm not saying we should sign someone else.

I'm more curious if we are eligible for the injury exception.

I am pretty sure was given the veteran min, and we can still give those out (if we have roster space).

You're right he was given the vet min.

I could be wrong but since we have a full roster currently{including Pollard} wouldn't we need to apply for an injury exception if we wanted to add someone?

There are two different things, roster exemptions and injured player exemptions.

You can get a cap exemption to use some fraction of a guy's salary (maybe the whole thing?) to sign a replacement if a guy is out for the year. That's nonsensical if it's a minimum salary guy.

If you are really killed by injury sometimes the league will allow a roster exemption to add a 16th guy, you don't have to be out for the year, but usually a team has 4,5,6 guys injured at once so they'd really be undermanned without a 16th player.

Neither situation is at all applicable to Pollard. Of course, we could just cut him and sign someone else (unless you can't cut a guy who's injured?)

Thank you, this helps answer my question.
