I think the Sam Cassell acquisition affected him more than he is letting on. He knows Sam's minutes will come at his expense, and he might be bothered by the thought.

House has been a HUGE factor in the Celtics success this season.
He will continue to be a crucial part of the team during the playoffs.
His minutes may go down, but his importance in being able to carry the offense at times still remains.
Sam doens't shoot the 3 well, he's more of a mid-range game.
Eddie will continue to be used to space the floor, to make everyone else's life easier.
Scal is out of the rotation, but Eddie is an integral part of the offense.

Jammer, I'm not convinced of that. How do you play Eddie with Sam or Rajon? We're too small to defend.
House only works as shooting guard if Tony (attempts) to run the point as he can defend 2s.
This leaves Tony and Eddie working for the backup 2 position in my mind.

And I guess by default, Tony wins because of obvious defensive reasons.

Eddie House is not a big game player. Look at his stats from previous playoffs runs
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/eddie_hou ... stats.html
The guys shooting goes down a lot when the tensity and pressure of the game go up.
I remember watching him in the playoffs with NJ and Phoenix and he sucked big time.
I really really like what he has done for the Cs so far, but if he doesn't do better for OUR playoffs run, then he will be riding the bench for most games.

I completly disagree, House' production has been declining imo

House will become a bench sniper. Take him out to spread the D and nail a few threes. Like a Steve Kerr type. They are invaluable come playoff time and can kill a team with there energy and shooting off the bench.
I think house has played this role before and if anything will be more comfortable in this position then as a back up PG.
I also doubt anyone on this team cares about minutes. You don't go 47 and 12 caring about minutes, just winning.

I am a fan of Eddies and really glad he is part of this team but he isn't a 6th man or a back up pg and when he has been in these situations come play off time he and his teams have come up short.
In the end you are who you are and that is why Eddie has played for half dozen teams, while he is capable he isn't consistent and he doesn't really have a position. Being timid isn't going to help his case any he has to come and shoot and if they fall he plays and if doesn't he sits and that is how it has to be.

I think good defensive teams just do that to shooters.
Look at Ray Allen he had another 1-9 performance.
Its hard against good teams for a shooter to get into rythmn.
House though played like a vet. 0 Turnovers, 1 assist, 3 rebounds in 12 minutes as the PG. That's what we need and if he got the ball off rotation then I'm sure he would of hit some more 3s.

I think that house can be a very good floor spacer, no question. He's as good a shooter as any one of the Raptor's shooters this year. I just think he's gonna be spotty if Sam has plenty of gas left.

There is a reason why house moves from team to team. His only NBA skill is a deadly jump shot. When it works he is use full but when his shot is off, he might as well sit. all in all dollar for dollar a great pick up.

eddie house is dialed in this year
why the *&^%* is he playing like a beotch against the pistons
Eddie bulk the ballz up and play your game at the level you are capable of..................i think house matters and will come through
TA will suffer the most loosing minutes to cassell
eddie, you have the greenlight at all times with any kind of open-look

Let's not exaggerate with Eddie - his "money" skill is his outside shooting. But he can play serviceable defense and make some respectable passes. In the Bulls game the commentator was forced to eat his words echoing those "Eddie can only shoot" sentiment.

eddie is a ridiculous shooter that should get off at least 4 3s a game------actually look for the shot at all times coming off those screens
he played scared, and will need to overcome it to be the weapon he can be
(think craig hodges with a more all around game)
so coming off the screens and looking to set up teamates when he has a clean look should land him on the bench----IMO
that will be his role now, especially with cassell
12-14 min/per; and i want 6-8 shots taken a night (@least 4 3's)
