Ray Allen Rumour / Pierce

Warning: 850 am opinion, not mine.

1. Word on the street is that Ray has been unhappy about the circumstances of him being 3rd option. Reported on 850 around 10 am today.

Add that to the close encounter of all-star snub, and nights where Allen goes for 5-7 points it seems he is not in total bliss.

2. Against Detroit, Garnett went off for 30 points. Pierce played few minutes only 30 i believe. When he came back in after a long break on bench he wasn't smiling but had a very nasty look on his face.

He came to the top of the key and made motions for Rondo to pass him the ball. Seemed like he was demanding it. Until Rondo became agressive and dunked it Pierce seemed dis-pleased and angry.

In post game interview he made fun of the fact that he sat on bench "Seems like Celtics didn't even need me, to win this game, KG was controlling the game" or something along those lines.

Questions:

DO you guys think Paul is happy when Rondo takes over and doesn't pass him the ball or does he try to order Rondo to pass him the ball?

DO you guys think Ray embraces or deep down resents being 3rd option?

Ask Ray Allen if he'd rather be back in Seattle winning 33 games a year and never having a chance at the playoffs. This is ridiculous if true.

Since when did the definition of "rumor" become "making stuff up because I'm bored and have nothing better to do and want to get a reaction out of people?"

Here we go again with people judging Pierce on his body language and facial expressions.

Also, I heard that caller on the radio this morning saying he thought Ray was unhappy being the third wheel. They blew that guy up and I would have to.

All this is a bunch of nonsense. Why would any of these guys be unhappy about winning? They knew they would have to sacrifice for the good of the team and I believe they are all cool with it.

I'm not buying any of this crap.

Is this really the best you can do with your first post?

IBTL. [color=green I'm sure Ray is unhappy being an All Star on the best team in the NBA. That's just a tough position to be in. Some guys have all the luck.[/color]

LOL. I'm 100% on your side guys. I'm a die hard just like any of you, and know that these are good character guys.

However, the rumor was on radio and seemed to stem from a friend of Ray's it seems from what i heard.

I'm sorry for reading to much into Pierce's expressions.

As for house, i still ask, what makes him such a great shooter? The #'s don't back it up. All his shots are open due to Big3 taking the pressure away.

If Ray get his ring out of this he won't care. If they get bounced in the first or second round maybe then he starts to rethink his position over the summer.

Hes a career 38% shooter from 3 pt land. I think that stat backs up the claim he can shoot.

Dont shoot the messenger. I'm just reporting what sports guys on 850 said.

Also, i didn't know Pierce' facial expressions struck a chord with so many posters. But again i apologize.

Don't worry about Eddie House. He's been playing out of position. He's mini-Vinnie. Tonight with old Sam in the game, House begins his Celtic career playing his best role.

The rest of the stuff does not make sense with anything anyone has observed this season.

What EXACTLY did the guys on 850 say about Ray Allen?

You are being to evasive here. Did Ray Allen say this? Did the sports guys say this? Did Ray Allen's friend say this? Please explain.

caught only 5 min of it.

but they said according to ray allen's friends, he told them privately that he wasn't to happy about being 3rd option.

As for Pierce, i'm probably wrong. I'm sure he's ecstatic about his position to win.

That really sucks if Ray isn't happy. This kind of stuff screws up team chemistry.
