With the 30th pick the world champion celtics select????
Hope to hear those words from Sterns mouth on draft day. We a have a real good shot at it. Then a few days later who are we going to select? We don't have a real weakness just areas where were thin like backup point guard and a tall backup big preferably a center. A backup point will be a vet brought in and pruitt may get some play. I think we go with a big guy a rebounder with a post game perhaps or not there will be a few guys there. Joey Dorsey,Devon Hardin, Jason Thompson, Aleks Maric, David Padgett, Trent Plaisted, Kentrell Gransberry. Ideally Jason Thompson would be perfect but he is probably gone. Padgett could also be had but he is toinjury prone and if he wasn't he would be gone. So I'm thinking it could be Hardin who is super athletic and maybe Plaisted if he comes out early. I'm going either with Thompson as my#1 choice but he could be gone , Plaisted next if he comes out then Hardin. Ainge has the inside view on Plaisted he played with austin ainge at byu. Thompson and plaisted are very under the radar type guys great picks at #30. Padgett might be a taker if he wasn't hurt so much. If he healsuhe could be an option. In the second round i like two guards rob Mckiver of houston and Jaycee Carroll of Utah State but mayeb they take a euro and stash him overseas.

I don` think we will draft a European player. Ainge didn`t sound to "euro-friendly" in an interview a few days ago. There are two prospect that are interesting but will be gone well before our pick, Gallinari and Batum. Pekovic might be available at 30, I would definitely draft him but it doesn`t seem like Ainge is interested..

We have to watch the tourney to see whose stock is rising and falling. With the 30th pick, you have to choose the best available. Bill Walker and Brandon Rush are the one's that I'm looking at. We could use a legitimate wing that is over 6'6.

I'd love to nab Rush but I don't see him lasting that far. Maybe package TA and our 2nd to receive him and filler? He'd be terrific...takes it to the rim, has more control than TA, more mature/better IQ...and I've been a Tony supporter.
He'd be perfect for this team from what I've seen. A rookie able to contribute right off the bat.

Sam Young impressed me so far in the Big East tourney. Looks like he has good shot blocking ability for a guard. In the NBA, he'll probably play more forward than guard though. I don't think he has the quickness to play guard in the league.

If he comes out. You met him, does he seem like the kid that would say screw BC they suck. Im going to the NBA.
haha, i hardy know him, but from what i saw he seemed like a genuine kid.
i doubt he comes out this year, though. all the bigger-name players that go through there stay the full 4. just seems like a tradition he isnt gonna disrupt. i also think theyre gonna be pretty good next year so his stock will rise to lottery imo.
