....according to a local FSN crew (i forget which one) when I was watching a game about two weeks ago. They put up a stat showing that Boston was +461 when Pierce is on the court.

Don't know if that holds true to this day, but nevertheless, very impressive when you consider stat-geeks hold plus/minus to be one of the most important indicators of how good a player is.

who the hell wrote that post about garnett and him not believing that the c's could win it all? was it a cavs fan or something?

i'm just imagining sam cassell jumping KG if he said something that stupid.

as for pp, i guess i might have to change my sig to chris paul or PP for MVP

It was spam, promoting some stupid site. KG wouldn't have even said that in his worst years of Minnesota.

Boston probably leads the league in +/- (if viewed simply as points differential). Therefore whoever leads our team in +/- likely leads the league.

Per 82games.com, KG is currently edging out PP

KG's edging Pierce out in +/- per minute/per 100 possessions, but since KG missed 9 games and plays less minutes than Pierce...Pierce leads KG and the rest of the NBA in raw +/-.

KG led the league like 4 straight years in adjusted plus minus.

As far as absolute plus minus, that's based on games played, and team scoring differential.

Since the Celtics as a team outscore their opponents by 10.7 ppg, with Detroit next at like 7.7 ppg, it's clear a Celtics has the best chance to lead the NBA in absolute plus/minus.

The 3 big minute guys are GPA, but Kevin missed 9 games, and Ray missed 4 games.

So, defacto, Paul Pierce would obviously lead the NBA in absolute plus minus, playing 37 mpg for the league leading Celts.

This ain't brain surgery.

I'd be shocked if he didn't lead the league in +/-. He's on the team with the best record and he played more games than Garnett.

Yes PP has played more games. But if the Celtics had not played well in the Games that KG & Ray missed. Then KG & Ray would have a better +/- then PP. PP carried the team when they were out and thus has the better +/-.
