I'm actually glad that the Lakers got their butts handed to them by the Rockets. As well as we've been playing with our record to match, I feel like we haven't gotten the due respect from around the league. It gives us the perfect opportunity to knock off the Rockets and convince all the talking-heads who the true class of the NBA is.

Should be a great game, can;t wait...we have to get through the spurs first though...a daunting task in itself

-Houston's crowd was great against the Lakers

-Mike Harris can play, someone get this man a guaranteed contract

-T-mac is tired having played 48 minutes in 2 of the last 4 games (and getting iv's after the second one) before the Lakers game , you can see it in his play (started 0-9 settling for mostly jump shots), and he admitted it during the halftime interview, maybe this will help us

-Houston is expending so much energy to get to the record and all that, that they me be worn out come playoff time. It might be in their best interests if they lost sooner rather than later

-Dikembe is the man...no doubt about it, it's great to see him out there still waving his finger at 42 years old

Yeah, as pumped as I am about the game, we shouldn't overlook the Spurs. They are the defending champs after all..

is ray allen going to be playing on tuesday against houston?

I heard he's a game time decision for tonight's game, so maybe he'll be good to go tomorrow. It's probably a good thing if Ray Allen sits out tonight and can be our go-to guy tomorrow, since he'll have fresh legs.

C's won't beat Houston w/out Ray.

Agreed, I don't have much confidence in this team without Ray, I'm more confident if we didn't have KG. Ray gets us too many easy baskets and I cringe when I see him fall to the ground.

The Rockets really dont care about setting or breaking records. Yes its nice to be a part of NBA history but the Rockets said it themselves, winning these games are about getting a better seed come playoff time. We have been playing every game as if it was against the Spurs. We are playing great basketball and tenacious defense. With out or without Ray Allen you cant write off the Rockets just yet, no matter how good the Celtics are (best in the L). Anything can happen.

True.....Thank god its not anything too serious i expect to see him against Houston Everyone on the c's will be pumped and ready to stop the streak! If he feels ok i think he will play

Laker fan here, i'm so rooting for you guys to beat the rockets tomorrow. I wasn't a believer of your team earlier this season, but after a W on the road against the Spurs you've earned my respect. You guys are a force to be reckoned with, good luck tomorrow. End that streak

as much as i love ray and im not one who underestimates what he means, cant say im more confident in the team without KG than without ray. if PP was out thatd be a different story

no i wasn't writing them off by any means, im sorry if it came off that way

i was just basing my opinion based on what i saw/heard/observed in the lakers game, obviosuly you have seen them more than me, so i will take your word for it

Both teams have to get Houston's winning streak out of their minds and concentrate on the game at hand. But, both teams want this game for different reasons. The pressure is more so on Houston to win this game than Boston. Boston should be motivated to maintain their momentum and keep a level of consistency in their play as they prepare for the playoffs.

I like Boston's chances against Houston. Yesterday's win over San Antonio gave the Celtics a morale victory against a Spurs team that seldom loses at home. The perseverance shown by Boston to be able to climb out of a big point deficit has to be a huge lift entering this next road game at Houston without Ray Allen and possibly again tonight and with the lost to Utah at home still fresh in the players' minds. And so, Boston's confidence against the western conference teams continues to grow as they've the league's best road record and they've a winning record against western conference teams as well. Both positives points to consider if you're Boston.

For me, it'll be about Tony Allen's defense on McGrady versus Battier's defense on Pierce. Texas native, Perkins, has to be a factor for Boston on both ends of the ball. Perkins must continue to do what he's doing: Playing solid team defense, controlling the rebounds, blocking shots and finding teammates on passes and finishing on plays to him for easy points. Boston can't allow players such as Alston, Scola or Jackson to have career games. Rivers could use his bench fully and try to wear out a Houston team that doesn't have a deep bench. So, fouls could be a factor in this game as well.

Garnett and Pierce are the best forward tandem in the league, in my opinion. Therefore, they should do enough with the continual contributions from the bench to keep the game close if not winnable. Also, the game in Houston will be a return for Thibodeau who was once a part of their coaching staff.

Hopefully Ray and his fresh legs can carry us tonight. I think it was a good move by Doc to let Ray rest one more game instead of playing in back-to-back games.

This is definitely THE GAME of the 2007-2008 regular season.

Ray Allen is said to be doubtful by Rivers. He is out. He'll likely play on Thursday against Dallas.

God I love this season.

The Celtics are strong enough to beat the best teams in the league. Then they get a rested all star back for the second half of the road trip and will be even better.

Today: Celebrating a huge comeback in San Antonio while anticipating the regular season game of the year in Houston.

This feels almost like the 80s again.
