I think we should all chip in and send Mr. Taylor a cheese basket and a bottle of WHINE.

I don't necessarily think Taylor's problem was that he didn't spend enough. He gave big money to KG, Wally, offered Sprewell a contract which he should have taken, and even overpaid a scrub like Troy Hudson. Taylor made a bone-headed move with that whole Joe Smith fiasco though. Plus McHale's incompetence as a GM didn't help the cause either.

i guess he goes for 35/15/10 tonight.
i guess glen really wants the rockets to lose tonight.
he's stating the obvious though. every team that is out of the playoff picture tanks in one form or another.
not necessarily losing games on purpose like telling the players to turn over the ball each possession, but taking guys out of games early or shutting it down before the season is over.
its a smart business decision to shut a star player down.
why get hurt when there is nothing left to play for?

the fact that taylor would even say this is embarrassing to the wolves franchise.
hopefully we will see a celtics championship this year.

So, I'm guessing Taylor would suggest to Clay Bennett that perhaps Ray Allen tanked it last season when he missed those last games. I mean Minnesota, Seattle and Boston all ended up being in the lottery last summer. Then Pierce tanked it as well. I don't believe Pierce tanked it anymore than I would that of Garnett last season. Ditto for Ray Allen. All three franchises were heading in different directions. Fortunately, for Boston, unlike Memphis, Ainge turned a misfortune into motivation to look toward the positive after draft night.

LOL, how pathetic for an owner to say something like this about a former player, not to mention the greatest player in the history of their franchise.
All I got to say is he ain't tanking this year Glen!!!

spending money stupidly is as bad as not spending it. that just makes my point even more, not only does he pretty much not spend money, but when he did it was pretty badly done.
hey, the Cs are paying luxury, as are most serious contenders. get serious or get out.

That's a load of bollocks....
He didn't have any good supporting cast last season..... and the coach last year sucked.

Now that I've read the article (didn't read it earlier as I was at work), this just goes to show what a prick Glen Taylor is.
It was bad enough that they offered #21 to Greg Buckner at the start of the season, but this....... this is just spineless.

Minnesota had better draft, trade ability and free agency than we did but Glen Taylor was never bold enough to make such a big move. He didn't have enough money to keep it going. It was KG who really saved him.

Wow someone want to remind this guy if he can put the cocktail down long enough that his team had Mad Dog Madsen chucking threes at the end of game that was in hand in order to improve their draft position. At least he wasn't under oath.

That's ridiculous, all the years KG busted his ass on that team and the man is complaining about 5 games? Embarrassing.
