Rebounding scheme?

Kevin Garnett played an excellent game last night.
The Cs did well on the defensive boards, allowing only 4 offensive rebounds.
Garnett got exactly ZERO defensive rebounds.

Could somebody please explain what is going on?

I thought organized rebounding schemes went out approximately when Tommy Heinsohn stopped coaching -- except perhaps for the Nets funneling their rebounds to Kidd -- but this seems like more than coincidence.

Defensive rebounds last night:

R. Allen -- 1
Rondo -- 4
Perk -- 5
Paul -- 6
KG -- 0
Posey -- 5
Baby -- 2
Tony -- 1

Total -- 24.

OK. Maybe the reason is that there were so few overall, and in particular very few Phoenix misses from the lane.

So freaking what? We have been rebounding real well the last couple of games, and if KG has 0 rebounds for the entire game and we still win, I'm fine.

I want to see an assist rebound stat in the league. Blocking out someone isn't just for you to get the rebound.
Blocking out amare so paul could get a rebound, is just as good as getting the rebound and that is what doc system call for.

When so many people get rebounds (your point guard) you can't expect everyone to have a double double.
