Byron Scott =Celtic Hater

It should come as no surprise to anyone in Boston that Byron Scott doesn't think Garnett is worthy of MVP consideration. He has hated the Celtics and Boston since his days as a Laker. Remember his tirade a few years ago during the playoffs with the nets about how Boston was a racist town? As I recall that was when we booed Jason Kidd because he was a wife beater. I think Scott is avery good coach but is an a hole and I like nothing more than beating him. Doc Rivers on the other hand is always gracious and a gentleman. He always gives props to the other team and its players. He said Paul was the best guard in the league and deserved MVP consideration but of course his good friend Byron can't do the same. ( BTW Doc needs better friends. when Isiah Thomas and Byron Scott are your best buds you need to learn to be a better judge of character). It's no surprise that Paul wouldn't give the Celts any props after they blew the doors off of the Hornets last night. he said they should have won. Where is he getting that? I never thought we'd lose that game even when we were down at the half. Maybe CP3 is responding to our statements that we gave one away in NO but let's get real. The Celts SHOULD have won both games. NO was lucky to win one. And don't even get me started on the ref Mauer and all of the bad calls last night. 'Nuff said

Kenny Mauer has been my least favorite ref for years. First off he just looks evil, second he tries to control the game way too much. Seems to be on a power trip to me.

Though I never liked Byron, but he's just defending his Chris Paul MVP ballot. Nothing wrong with that. Doc did the same with KG a while back (though yes, he was surely more gracious, but who is more gracious than Doc really?)

All these guys grew up together, in a small NBA community. What do you know about the kind of people Isiah and Byron were when they were entering their careers? Doc's just being loyal to his friends, I really don't see anything wrong with that. Not all NBA personnel exclude themselves to the Celtics like the fans do, all these guys know each other and have had to deal with each other's company for years.

+1

and add coaches too, especially the vastly overrated Pat Riley

What about Bill Sharman? Great Celtic, but also won a ring as coach of the Lakers.

Really who cares. We don't need Byron Scott to vindicate the greatness of this team nor any of the players on it. He can say whatever he wants the reality of the situation is we just kicked his team's a$$ convincingly.

All of this aside I actually do feel if the Hornets hold onto the top record in the west than Paul should get the MVP. Over 20 ppg, leads the league in assists and steals and the best record in the most competitive conference race arguably in league history. Pretty hard to knock him as the MVP imo.

Edit:

Also just wanted to add that Mauer was a disgrace last night for quite a stretch. Good thing he got his head out of his arse b4 the game was over because he was toeing the line between bad officiating and something worthy of league intervention

bryon scott has a way of offending ppl without even knowing. ask ppl in new orleans about what he said about that city and staying in Oklahoma. he's really confident, bordering on cocky as well.

ppl still haven't forgiven him for it.

doc is just plain nice in interviews. has a way of complimenting mediocre players.

Scott he tends to rub ppl the wrong way, but i gotta say, i love chris paul, but he is one cocky dude. its kinda weird. as a hornet fan, he really is one man show. so if his team loses to a great team, its not that the hornets let one get away, but they were actually playing a great team.

defensively, if we can't get it done, we will lose. we aren't so great that we can rely on our defense every night.

one of the reasons why he was fired in New Jersey was his way of being so blunt to his players. he still has his moments.

kg btw totally shut down david west. i guess byron didn't notice.
thats why kg is a top 3 mvp candidate.

can you guys tell how much i dislike scott?

he doesn't even yell at refs or barely ask them questions.
he always has the stone cold look on his face, has his arms crossed. i mean get into the game or sit down! don't just stand there!

you see the other team go on a 15-0 run, while you are standing on the sidelines, and you don't call a timeout? you ain't Phil Jackson, so do something about it! yell or call a timeout! something, god.

ppl give doc a hard time, but imo, he always draws up good plays out of a timeout, and this year he has players that execute.

scott can't even do that. its always his assistant coaches. pathetic. if he gets COY, omg! i'll scream.

rick adelmen or doc deserve it way before he does.

plus doc has tact in interviews. scott? not so much. he comes off like he's still playing, with that arrogant talk.

at least sam mitchell, another coach that is criticized is funny in interviews. i mean, bryon, give us something!

yeah Byron Scott, still really hates Boston. he'll never admit it, but he loves getting a jab or two in there. it was nice to see doc take the high road when responding to scott's comments though...

CP3, although a great player is still a dirty little bitch though...he's had a history of questionable plays stemming from his balltap on Julius Hodge in college...

I was too young to care then, so he gets a pass, although that transgression taints his greenness, preventing him form reaching the level of a Heinson or Cousy, who never strayed from the green.

Byron Scott is still an arrogant jackass. And **** Chris Paul too. I don't care how good he is. He still reminds me too much of Isiah Thomas. Media darling off the court, but complete jerk off on the court.
