OT: Red Sox comedy gold

Post#1 » by MyInsatiableOne » Mon Apr 7, 2008 4:01 pm

Am I the only Red Sox fan here who was happy they signed Bartolo Colon not just for the possibility of his being an effective pitcher but also for the potentially hilarious article headlines? For instance, an article titled "Colon has some soreness" was posted on the Globe this afternoon:

http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/r ... colon.html

with another tagline, "How's Colon?"

I'll never forget the headline on ESPN.com years ago when Colon pitched for Cleveland and he dominated NYY: "Powerful Colon blasts Yankees"

C'mon, these writes *must* be doing this on purpose, huh?
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

hahaha, yeah. My personal favorite headline of all time still is: "What an Astro!" with a picture of Clemens on NYPost the day he signed with the Astros.
