We Own You!!!

Post#1 » by dlts20 » Thu Apr 10, 2008 1:57 am

Dont get mad, I was only kidding. Man I hate you guys. Your the type of team that we could sweep you but I still wouldnt feel confident about beating you guys the next time. I think Pierce is top 5 in terms of scariest guys in the league. Both him & Ray are capable of exploding for a 20pt quarter that will just completely change the game and KG just has these spurts where he is so dominant on both ends.

Im the type of guy who always wants to play the best in every sport. I hate it when fans root for the easist path. Ive always wanted to play you, Detroit, and Lebron in the playoffs because everyone considers you 3 to be the best but now Im kind of wanting to fall to the 6 seed because I would definatly rather face Detorit before you guys. Still, we have to get revenge on Lebron 1st. So far we have your number but the playoffs are a different animal. Still, we will have an even or winning record against all the top 8 teams in the East so thats a good feeling and weve beat Detrot like 7 out of the last 10 times weve played them.

I know a playoff series would be different but I would just love to see it because I think it would be a great matchup

To be honest, I agree with the OP. The Wizards do have our number. It's not like we didn't try to win tonight. The big 3 even played heavy minutes. The Wiz just match up well against us. While I would want the C's to exact revenge if ever they meet in the playoffs, this is one team that I would not feel confident against.

The Wizards earned the bragging rights. Hats off to them.

In an ideal world, Washington ends up sixth, so they have to battle it out with the other team I'd rather not face.

We locked up the East.
You think we care if the Wizards get 3 wins against us?
They're nothing more then a 1 and done team.

Give it up to the Wiz, what can you say. It's magic?

A respectful poster from a team that beat us is a very rare thing indeed.

They kicked our butts, plain and simple. Make all the excuses you want, but they're a legit threat to any team in the league.

We will, there's no way we're losing to the eight seed and there's no way the Cavs are going to beat you guys (I wouldn't be surprised if you end up taking home court before season's over). Good luck the rest of the way.

Good luck to you also. Its great for the NBA to have the C's back on top. A finals between you and the LA would be crazy and would probably break ratings records. Thats another reason why I would want to play you guys last. I know that no one likes to see Detroit

I feel a little bit uneasy about facing the Wizards. Good team. Especially against us.

Looking forward to a C's / Wiz series, why wouldn't you? Whats up with wanting a cakewalk to the title? It had been like two weeks since we had a contested game with the big 3 all playing regular minutes. I'd rather watch a contested series than 4 blowouts.

Ever since Arenas went down, the Wizards started building a discipline that has worked wonders for them. The key now is to integrate Arenas back into the show. They are bringing him back slowly, it seems.

Despite his multiple turnovers tonight, Caron Butler is very solid and does a little bit of everything.

Agreed. I might get ridiculed for saying this, but he reminds me a lot of Paul Pierce.

Ridiculed? Both went number 10 in the draft and should have gone higher. As a UConn player (Nearer to Boston than any NBA town, also in prep school in Maine before that) Paul Pierce was his idol, Caron patterned his game after him, and has always looked up to him tried to emulate him. And as a measure of respect he always attacks and defense him even harder than any other player he faces. So, no, nothing ridiculous there. Any resemblance is intentional.

I know, but this is a Celtics forum with a lot of Paul Pierce supporters.

Washington scares me. I pray that we don't face them in the playoffs.

Ever since I saw Butler in March Madness 6? years ago, he has been a favorite, he just plays like Pierce (although the step back wasn't as automatic, but the attack was).

Funnily enough Haywood is the key for washington, as he and Jamison turn them into a much more athletic team.

Powe and BB will need to step up if we meet them in the play\offs, as it isn't Perk's style of game.

Hey, this thread is still here. Great. Actually, I generally agree with the OP. I would say the Wiz are better than they're record indicates, and if they manage to stay healthy, are a real dark horse team. Well coached, deep, uptempo, athletic. Washington will be fun to watch in the playoffs. I'd say they're truly a 3-4 seed, right there with ORL and slightly ahead of CLE and TOR.

So bring 'em on. BOS/WAS, DET/ORL in the second round.

Actually, the Wizards are a top 2/3 east team right there with Detroit. They are better than they were before the injuries killed last season. Haywood is much better, the team is deeper with Blatche, Songaila, and Roger Mason. Nick Young is good and didn't play last night.
