Make a song track list for Boston's playoffs run...

Post#1 » by campybatman » Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:58 am

Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor
You're The Best by Joe Esposito

In other words, for me, I'm going with an eighties theme here to acknowledge the Celtics' last championship run in 1985-1986.

These could hype up the crowd at the Garden, albeit they're more like comeback songs and the Celtics will likely dominate most of the playoffs or so you hope having home court advantage throughout the east.

I'm trying to think of a song from the eighties that would be the perfect battle cry for the Celtics.

After the loss to the Lakers in 1987, WBZ put together a year-end montage set to "Back in the High Life" by Steve Winwood. 20 years later, I think the team is finally back in the high life again.

Dengue Fever - Revenge of the Tarantula

Ok .. probably not but it's a bad ass song even if it's sung in Khmer. Most of their tracks are tight.

Some cheesy 80s? How about "The Final Countdown" by Europe. If listening to this doesn't make you want to climb Mt. St. Helen mid-eruption while ramming a broadsword into the throat of a dragon, I don't know what does.

Constant Motion by Dream Theater

Heavy song with lyrics that epitomize the C's in general and KG in particular!

:rocking:

In the Air Tonight, by Phil Collins? DUH!

seriously though, enough with the 80's. I need to feel like I'm in KG's head. I'm thinking some RATM or Wu Tang. BRING THE MUFFUGIN RUCKUS!

Good one!

And if you're sick of 80s, how about "Hysteria" by Muse? Lyrically and musically fits.

Maybe "Achillies' Last Stand" by Led Zeppelin? Long, heavy, and ass-kicking?

"Milk Lizard" by Dillinger Escape Plan? If that doesn't get you pumped, I don't know what will. **** RATM, DEP rocks so much more (kind of obscure, I know, but bear with me).

I like the suggestion of Back In The High Life Again by Steve Winwood

I also like this song and think it could work. Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House.

Yup, that should be the final song.

First, open with We Will Rock You..
and Another One Bites the Dust after we eliminate our second round opponent
I Want It All before the championship series

+1

I love that song but only after we win #17.
