What did Amirr Johnson get from the Pistons? Leon should at LEAST get that much. He has definately done more thus far in their 2 careers.

I like Powe - but I think the big part of our current success is "value" players. You have to get players that are worth MORE then their contracts or if given minutes would be.. And this is especially true with 4-12 guys of our roster.
Powe is one such guy. Once you sign Powe to "fair value" then he becomes less useful. It's the same with House, Posey, Rondo and the rest of our guys.

I see no reason why, if Ainge sees Powe as a valuable 6th man, he could get him for Perk money. 5 or 4/20 should be more than enough.

I think yes at 4Million a year - he is worth keeping. He might want a big time opportunity though and would rather take a short stint on a mediocre team where he could get minutes.

I love everything that Powe's done, but
1) He's undersized
and
2) Teams don't game-plan for him (yet)
In the NBA, if you have an obvious deficiency you haven't proven anything unless you can still produce when teams are paying attention to you.
RONDO (jumpshot) is making the leap. BRANDON HUNTER (size) never did.

Powe is the same size and length as Elton Brand. it's not like he's 6-6.
He's not going to carry his team but he is a starting caliber if he develops a reliable 15 footer.

Strongly disagree. The expectations between Rondo and Powe are HUGELY different. Additionally, teams have had two seasons and accompanying footage to deal with Powe. If all Powe is expected to do is rebound, make garbage shots at a high percentage, and play solid defense than I don't see how exactly teams plan for that, especially considering they already have Garnett, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo to deal with.
All that said, I wouldn't rely on Powe to create offense off the bench, and I would consider trading him before signing him to anything significant. I'm with Pete ... the organization will benefit from finding those highly productive players for dirt cheap (players that perform above their value). Plus I'd like to see them under the cap when Allen comes off the books.
