OT direct tv and celtics games

Post#1 » by Joebiscuit » Sat Apr 26, 2008 2:30 pm

Hello all,

Three days ago I had direct TV installed. Are the celtics games in HD? I looked at the channel line up and it says that comcast sports is in HD. However when I turn in the channel it is NOT in HD. Can someone help me out with this and let me know if the c's games are in HD or not.

Thanks

Channel 73. ESPNHD. I think most of the playoff games are going to be on TNT and ESPN.

I got DirecTv and I can help you.

the HD channel on 620 ComcastSnet turns on only during the game, which means it's gonna turn on at 8:00 tonight.
Also, they're gonna show the game on ESPN, 206.

Thanks but I turned the game on 620 and there is no way in hell the game is in HD. I mean it is not a big deal now because the games will be on other channels in HD because it is the play-offs. I really hope they get the games HD for next season.

I've had the same problem, it seems like ComcastHD is only available for home games. I switched during the season and was not happy, hopefully it's fixed by next season. At least the game is available on the national broadcast plus i don't have to listen to Tommy!

I was getting really pissed off about this because I thought Verizon had screwed it up. At mid season Comcast supposedly launched the road games in HD, during the West Coast trip. Then the games disappeared causing me to also miss some starts because my DVR was set wrong.

Frankly it has ruined the whole season for me it is like it never happened. Anyway good to hear it isn't my cool but at times suspect TV service and it is just not available.

Just so you know tonights game IS in the directv guide as showing the game in HD on channel 620-1 !!! for those of you living in the boston area anyway at 8p.m. eastern time.the rest of us on directv will have to watch on TNT channel 245 or 75 depending on yourequipment or choice,I recommend channel 245 for the mpeg4 broadcast(should be better quality)!
