right as scal was pullin PP away, PP did the "3" sign. what was that? usually that's reserved for when a player makes a 3-pointer. hmmm...

Horford made a shot at the end of the game and while Pierce was laying on the court, Horford shouted down at him and shook his fingers at him.
It was BUSH LEAGUE!!
That was the nail in the Hawks coffin.
It's really unfortunate that someone as talented as Horford is, is such a piece of trash. I bet Stern fines his dumb a$$.

Horford didn't even get a technical, but that should not surprise anybody. It was the Hawks' arena, where amazing happens.

Josh Smith celebrated each dunk as if this particular game was game 7 in the Finals. I'm sure that will linger in the back of the Celtics players' minds for the next game.

Pierce is already over it.

Pierce could of taken a meaningless 3 pointer in some players face as he said he would before Scal directed him to the bench. And as he proved he can do with back in the IND series.

But instead he decided to pass it for an alley opp. That failed.

Horford shows passion and excitement. He's looking 3 all-stars in the face and never believed that he couldn't come out and play great. If ANYTHING the NBA needs more players with passion not less..

the way we demand no emotion..before too long we'll all be robots that shoot jumpers. It will be like the typical euro team.

Perk gets a tech called on him if he looks at someone after scoring. The whole tech thing isn't too consistent is it? lol

i agree...shoulda been a tech.

that was so pathetic. a rookie should not be doin that to a vet all star, future HOFer possibly. i did like horford, but that lil childish act made me lose respect for him.

i hope PP goes off for 40 next game. i hope that Perk fouls the hell outta horford.

Celticfan is right, Horford is a emotional player and that's how he plays. Kg is the same way, you guys think KG doesn't piss of opposing players and fans? Horford just plays hard and with emotions, it's just a game.

Do you blame them though? This is all of their first home playoff game in Atlanta and most of the teams first home playoff game period. They got absolutely embarrassed for 2 games in Boston and most people assumed sweep. They played the game of their life and beat a superior team. Not to mention this isn't a team that constantly makes the playoffs. Who knows if they will even be back in the playoffs next season or in the future? Let them have their fun. You know the C's will win the series and probably in 5.

I'm a big Horford fan, but that was pretty classless although I do agree with celticfan42487

My favorite player is Dwight Howard and I wish he would show the emotion/intensity that guys like KG/Horford show

Some of yall misunderstand Horford. He's not a "piece of trash" at all. If anything, like KG (altho not to the same extent), he's just EXTREMELY competitive and intense. KG, Pierce, etc. have been talking trash and pushing him and the rest of the Hawks around all series. That's extremely frustrating for a guy like Horford. It was a playoff game, and he was very worked up. But, he's still a good guy. Not an a-hole in any way... just tough and competitive.

I agree with the original poster tho... It was a mistake. Hawks have enough problems with the Celtics, definitely didnt need to get them even more fired up. But hey, it's the playoffs.. this stuff happens.

Absolutely no. It shows that they are passionate about the game AND that they are immature (which is not a sin, it's just not enough time has passed since they were born and today). These kids' antics, even if they are understandable or justified, will be the fire under the Celtics' collective ass.

It was good that Horford did that to Pierce. It will remind the big three of what life used to be like and exactly what needs to be done. It isn't about record now, just winning each series, which will still be done in this one. This team needs to be tested now so they can react later to any kind of pressure that may be put upon them, and how they respond will tell if they are championship material.
