This just in from the NBA office:

The incident involving Pierce occurred in the fourth period of the Celtics

That's ridiculous that Pierce was fined. It's probably standard protocol though.

I don't understand what's menacing about that gesture. Maybe it has a significance that both Pierce and the NBA are aware of, but I have no clue what that might be.

This is stupid and Pierce shouldn't have to pay one dime. The league fining for gang signs when it could be anything...are you kidding me?

"It's trash talk, get used to it" "So what if he was taunting pierce" yada yada yada.

Well, trash talk just got our captain fined 25,000 dollars, and al horford nothing. Can you see why I and other celtic fans were pissed?? Good thing scal was there to hold PP back, otherwise who knows, he might have been suspended. Things like this have happened before, a instigator like Q-rich (and hawks fans, I am not comparing Horford to q-rich at all!) can get in pierces head. So when I see things that horford did last game, it get's me a little upset.

what shows u the nba is out for the celtics, and always will be until stern is out of office, is that Horford did not get a tech, or a fine, or anything for what he did.

Perk gets techs for staring at a guy, not talking, not moving.

Yet he can jump up and down pointing and screaming while running right at pierce, and nothing.

Would not have affected that game at all, we had loss, but it would have let him know u can't do it, now the c's will retaliate, and somebody will get a t for us, or an ejection. Just plain old poor officiating and pathetic, pathetic leadership by the nba commish.

Horford wasn't fined?!?!

The guy yelled at someone lying on the freaking ground. What a joke.

I really hope Pierce goes off tonight and puts the lame rook in his place.

ALRIGGGHHHHT boys and girls, heres a little history for you:

They make a mean team, my Adidas and the Bean

If there's one thing that the 50-plus people interviewed for this story agree on, it's that Boston's worn Adidas since pimps in fish tank pumps pushed pink Caddies through Scollay Square. Most true-schoolers trace the trend back to the early '80s, though Floorlords founder Lino Delgado remembers heads religiously rocking stripes as far back as 1979. Roxbury rap bishop Edo G says that although Adidas had a presence in the late '70's, the fever spread around 1986, when, on the strength of "My Adidas" and "Walk This Way," Run DMC's Raising Hell became the first rap album to go platinum (sorry, white folks -- there's no Aerosmith connection).

"Run DMC might have been from New York, but everybody in New York wore Nikes, so Adidas just became part of Boston's identity," Edo says.

good read, go check it out. itll let ya know the paul is down with boston through and through

:banghead:

So that's what the kids consider "menacing" nowadays.

It did seem a bit menacing. But what really seemed menacing was the guy Standing Over a player on the floor Shouting and Pointing.

I don't care about the trash talk - but standing over a guy shouting and pointing is just out of line.
