KG and Zaza Altercation in it's entirety. Referee push!

This from the Boston coverage of the game.

Based on the video, it seems that KG did push Eddie F. Rush.

With David Stern and Stu Jackson in the stands, I feel that KG SHOULD be suspended for that.

Will he?? That another story

This will not be as easy as you all thought it would be. :wavefinger:

according to that video garnett should be suspended for one game... I think the rule is no matter what you cannot push a ref, especially when he trying to break up fights.

if he is not suspended the NBA is rigged. If that was Rasheed Wallace he would be suspended 4 games. KG pushed the ref i dont care if it was intent or not he shoud be suspended.

If you call that a "shove" it was the weakest shove I've ever seen. I horse around with my girlfriend harder than that.

Don't get your hopes up that KG gets suspended. It's the playoffs!

Wouldn't shock me if KG gets a game, also I expect Perk and Marvin Williams to get a game as well.

Amare and Diaw got suspended for less last year. KG will probably be gone. :nonono:

zaza should be suspended a game for basically headbutting our player and not knowing where to draw the line and stop.

and the refs!!! how HARD is it to ref a friggin game!? horrible calls flying all over the place. they'd call every little love tap on our end, and then you guys would get away with the exact same crap on the other end a couple plays later. remember the call on KG for putting his hand on the guy as he drove to the basket? i dont recall if it was smith or johnson, but one of those guys did the exact same thing a few plays later...NOTHING.

needless to say, i was screaming at my tv. ha...

but, i must give you guys props. even though i hate al horford's attitude, and the fact that joe johnson body slammed paul pierce with no play on the ball, strained his back and got away with it, josh smith is a man, and he's playing a man's game. same with joe johnson. you all are definitely making this more interesting than any of us in new england wanted it to be :(

If Stern doesn't want the worst PR ever he will be consistent and suspend all 3 guys (KG, Perkins and Williams) as the rules stipulate.

Suspending players over this kind of crap is stupid. I didn't like it when it happened to Phoenix either. Hey, lets make the playoffs really exciting and make the teams sit some of their best players for games. Fans of other teams would just love it if Boston lost because of that.

What happened in San Antonio will look extremely suspect for stern if Nothing is done to KG. I'm sure marvin and perkins will be out, but with all the footage of this push( weak or not) it will be a hard call even if stern wants a LA v BOS series.

In the end the PLAYERS have to be responsible for their actions in the heat of the moment. Either way if KG is suspended a game you can be damn sure boston will get ALL THE CALLS wednesday to allow this team to get back. Outside of a perfect game for ATL I still see boston winning.

The officiating has favored Atlanta so far so I hope you are right. The NBA has gotten so soft though. Perk and Marvin didn't do anything worth being suspended over and neither did KG. If the refs would actually call the fouls fairly then KG wouldn't have been pissed off to begin with.

^ I agree with the league softening, but with the league being full of bit**** and overly thuggish guys they have to be reigned in one way or another. In the good old days players played physical and tough BUT never to injure one another and in the grand scheme respected their opponents.

It also dosent help that people( fans) seem more concerned about players personal life to the point that they label players for common life mistakes which causes a IMAGE CONFLICT for the league to address.

Only the hardcore old school fans really want the physical game like in the 80's and 90's. If the league went back to those days half the seats would be empty and every player would be considered a thug.

He has to Suspend KG he delivered an Elbow to the throat and pushed the ref. Basically two separate incidents.
KG = 1 game at least could go 2 if its separate incidents

Zaza stupid but not sure he really headbutted KG, looked like acting cause KG didnt move his head for almost a full second after the two supposedly touched. Still I think enough cause
Zaza = 1 game

ALTERCATION - remember = suspension

Boris and Amare got suspended for coming 3 steps away from bench

Coming from a Heat fan, Kevin Garnett won't be suspended in my opinion. Have you guys watched any other game besides the Celtics' series, like the Cavaliers series? Not many suspensions have been made, the league has let things escalate this postseason.

If Stern does suspend people for this game, then that's inconsistent.

That is ridiculous. KG and Zaza both shouldn't be suspended. They got techs and that is as far as it should go. It should be reviewed in a case by case basis and noone needs to be suspended for this. I know Perk and Marvin probably will, but its silly.
