Paul...he finally played HIS game...taking it to the hoop, creating shots, hitting open jumpers. Flawless (except for his continuing **** performance from the line)

Powe.
His charge on JJ was the biggest play of the game. It put their hot star on the bench with 2 early fouls. Plus he has that +10 stretch in the first half with him on the floor...mad rebounds and he took 2 charges.
That was a part of the game where momentum could've gone either way and Powe kept us in control...

Tough because Ray, Powe, KG and Sam all did what they needed to do, but my boy Pierce did it all.
To be fair to Pierce, he was 2-3 at the line. Hardly a **** performance.

He hasn't looked good at the line since his head got rolled in game 2, though. Hope he snaps out of it.
But you're right, there was a HUGE disparity in the free throws last night...Atlanta got something like 30 trips to the line.
Oh well!

Oh I know what you mean. Pierce's FT% dropped from 84 to 71. However, we saw how stiff he looked in games 3 and 4, which might've been his back.
I'm not going to castigate Pierce, though, because he's not the only poor free-throw shooting culprit on this team.

gonna have to say Ray cuz everytime we needed to maintain the lead he kept the hawks at bay!

I'd say Sam, because most of the people in the thread were already flaming him and asking him out.. but he sure did prove 'em wrong last night..
But kidding aside, it should be everyone. As earlier mentioned, everyone did what they had to do. I say chop that cigar and distribute to the team

I agree with the Pierce FT shooting... He's terrible this playoffs at the line, expounded by the fact we needed the points everytime he took (and missed some of) it. Hopefully it was indeed just his back and that he's ready for the rest of the playoffs..
Go Celtics!!

Whereas KG has been hitting just about everything from the line. Pierce is better than that and he knows it...he should turn it around just fine.

Or just buy them all their own cigars!
Hehe, give the fans one cigar each as well... They rejuvenated the team already demoralized with two stunning losses in ATL

Sounds good. I like a stogie now and then. Now
that'd be a promotion: the heck with T-shirts, give everyone in the stands a cigar, light 'em up for Red, and smoke the other team outta there!

Leon Powe.
His hustling play turned the game around.

Pierce was the man in this game.

Its a tough call between Pierce and Allen. Pierce played a hell of a game are was pretty dominant throughout. But when the Hawks seemed to be gaining some momentum and coming back a bit in the 3rd Allen hit those three 3s to extend our lead and pretty much demoralize the Hawks...they really seems to give up a bit after that. Close call, but Im going to go with Pierce on this one.

Pierce did more over the sustained duration of the game than Ray did.
All played really well, though, except for Tony Allen!

I really felt that Posey was the key last night, obviously there is more than one when you beat a team by 25. But he did a nice job on JJ and just overall he is effort is great on both ends. Two other things about James that I think needs to be acknowledged he got under Josh Smith's skin. In the past Smith has a trouble getting it back together he is young and that may well carry over into the next game. I also love how he and Ray can just put a game out of reach from 3 it was like they was just beating them to death with a bat, it almost brutal to watch.

Powe for getting back in the flow and dominating the offensive glass
