We are a JOKE!

Post#1 » by BillessuR6 » Sat May 3, 2008 3:10 am

I have never seen a "veteran" team play such scared, hesitant basketball in my life! They are afraid to shot, the series has turned into a complete joke for this supposed contender team.

I don`t mind losing a game or two but the way we have been playing is inexcusable! We look like a bunch of rookies who are afraid of the hawks!

PATHETIC!!!

Can someone explain to me why we are playing like scared little girls?

I agree with you, in the 4th quarter especially we play like we lack experience and the young Hawks are playing like they BELONG in the playoffs.

It is almost as if this team has no clue how to play without a big lead.

i dont know man, i pretty much agree.

how many times did rondo and cassell have an open lane and not penetrate?

why force a 3 when there are 15 or so seconds left and you have more time than that on the shot clock and can just go for a tie and regain composure for OT?

why cant ray allen or paul pierce pick up slack any more which until this year had been the calling cards of their games?

so many questions i cant comprehend

How does a 66 win team let a 37 win team take them to a 7th game? Disgusting.

I hate the fact that every other fan just wants to rub this in our faces. I want the Celtics to beat the Hawks by 30 and then demolish the rest of their competition. Like seriously STFU.

This is causing every casual fan like myself of the two teams to pull like crazy for Atlanta... Celtics dont look like they want this at all, they want someone just to give them a bye this round.

Although this would be an upset it would be the magnitude of Golden State vs Dallas simply because Dallas had proven they could get to the finals. This Celtic team may just be for entertainment of the regular season.

I wonder Dallas and Phx didnt except this losing at all, wonder how the C fans would be with 1st round exit to a team with a negative record.

Hm. I agree. Your team got exposed by the young Hawks. So maybe you're some steps away from being a true contender. Who knows?
You guys will celebrate winning this series, but then there's the Cavs (easier than the Hawks I believe), and then the Pistons... Gotta play better than this to be a champion.

I am sick of this.... some of these posters are right about the rotation at the start of the 4th quarter. Everyone of our losses Doc has the subs in to start that quarter. You have to keep the starters in to stop any rally at the begining of the quarter. Bring the subs in gradually around the 11:00 to 9:00 minute marks for only 2-3 minutes then put the starters back to finish.

Horford looks like that alien that rides in the Falcon with Lando in Return of the Jedi.

The problem is--he kills the starters in the 3rd...afraid to use Eddie House,etc....then the Starters are too tired to play the 4th...that's how KC Jones lost to the Lakers in 1987.

Every team has phantom calls...Wade's phantom calls won him a title...
point remains boston has 3 superstars and won 66 games this year and are allowing the hawks to remain in this series while showing their weaknesses.
U can't have Rondo take the game winning shot...he isn't that type of player...where was KG? Allen? Posey even? it was like no one wanted the ball no one came out to get it and left Rondo out there alone to try to win it.
You can't blame the refs for this.
Boston came in thinking cakewalk, they have been trash talking teams since the preseason but they get rattled too easily and it shows.
They need to seriously gut check themselves or they r getting bounced in game 7. and if they manage to win they won't win the title...u cant come into the playoffs looking down on opponents....not even the bulls, pistons, spurs do that but the celts do and it offends teams...
they need a gut check...

that wasn't Rondo's fault, if you watched, you would see that the play was totally set up for Ray, but Bibby switched and was all over him. Rondo did the right thing....... it was just a bad play to begin with.

Sam or Ray should have brought the ball up, instead of trying to run a screen for Ray which the Hawks where all over.

Wow I feel for you Boston fans...

If you lose this, you will overtake the Knicks as the laughingstock of the league.

Good luck Game Seven...!!!!

The Knicks spent $120M to win 23 games... When you always have a top 3 payroll in the league and haven't won a playoff game in 8 years, your tops on the laughing stock list, indefinitely.
