Posey Appreciation

Post#1 » by celtics543 » Sat May 3, 2008 5:14 pm

Amidst all the threads about coaching changes and who to blame, I would like to give James Posey a thank you. He has been the most clutch guy in this series for the Celtics and has consistently hit big shots for us. I am at the point now where I want them to sit Ray and just let Posey play for a while. This isn't the series for Ray and Posey can play defense and hit the three.

He was easily the best free agent pickup for the Celtics over the offseason, and I hope he's brough back next year. He reminds me a lot of Eric Strickland, only taller and a better defender. But he takes charges and shoots bigtime threes. So thanks for putting in the effort James.

Also Leon Powe deserves one of these for the last two games, but I've already made two threads today and three seems like too many.

I was just thinking about how well he's done, especially with some recent clutch shots. Great pickup.

James hit a huge shot last night. I just wish he hadn't gone for that Joe Johnson upfake.

But I agree, much appreciated.

If we lose Game 7, Posey opts out.

Happy to hear about your appreciation for Powe, but sorry that you have no health insurance.

Posey is the man. It was so frustrating to watch Ray brick like 6 3s at the end, and then see Posey drain one with Bibby right in this face (I thought there was a foul too).

Posey's been our best stand and shoot 3 player in the playoffs. He hits them whether he's open or not, whether it's a buzzer beater, a rush end of quarter three, or wether it's a game changing shot.

He's our only consistent bench player right now and our most clutch shooter.
