PJ Brown Looks Done

It looks to me like PJ just can't get it done physically anymore and he keeps getting minutes over Big Baby and (gulp) Scalabrine.
I don't know how he does it, but he manages to look terrible in very short minutes. Maybe he should've stayed retired? I don't know, but no one can tell me that PJ has been a successful pickup thus far. Zydrunas might be the better assignment for him.
Call me crazy, but Scal just may be a better matchup against the Hawks than what we've been sending off the bench, with the exception of Powe. And I never thought I would even be thinking that, let alone saying it out loud to fellow diehards.

Forget Big Baby and Scal, give those extra 4 minutes to KG. This is game 6/game 7 of the playoffs, we've been resting him and trying to keep him fresh for the playoffs. He can handle 1 game with 44 minutes played instead of 44.
But I agree, PJ is totally done and shouldn't get off the bench. Total stiff.

And for the love of god, enough with the lineup of Cassell/ray or paul/posey/powe/pj. And especially in the fourth quarter. Stagger the subs so u have a max of two bench guys in at a time.

Brown was agodplayer but he is washed up. Scal should be getting the spotminutes that brown is getting. Scalis more mobile, knows the system and at thispontother than posey and sam I am he has made it to the finals.ithought cassellandbrownwere goodsignings butitseemsto have messed up team chemistry for the playoffs. Get Scal,Allen and House backin there.

If you didn't notice, PJ was done last year too. We found out the hard way.

Totally agree. PJ was done last year & the Bulls made no attempt to talk him out of retiring.

He's not doing too bad considering he's playing against 22 year olds. He'll do much better against Big Z, Joe Smith and Big Ben next round

Garnett, Perk, Powe, Posey, Pierce, Allen, Allen, Rondo, Cassell should be enough for a playoff rotation.
If they're not getting it done, only then do you bring in:
Davis (energetic big man)
Brown (generic space-eating big man)
House (shooter and desperation PG)

Did you see that?
PJ Brown is NOT done
He just played KG's role out there for a couple of minutes. Seamless transition. Huge offensive rebound. Major block. Big assist to Powe.

P.J. Brown isn't done. He'll never be a starter in the league again (obviously), but he can still serve a purpose as a spot player in the right situaitons.
He really matches up poorly with the Hawks, but against the right teams he could actually play some helpful minutes.

PJ Brown should have started with us in Rome.

PJ looked good today you got to admit. THere is just no replacement for height sometimes. He flat out abused Horford on one defensive sequence where Powe and BBD couldn't really bother him.

I got on him for playing like a slightly less athletic Scott Pollard, so it's only fair I give him props for a very good game today. His defense was absolutely phenominal and he contributed a bit offensively as well.
With that said, 1 game with small minutes isn't enough to convince me that he isn't done when he's played like a stiff with the Celtics and he wasn't exactly good with the Bulls last year.
I hope he can keep up his play and turn in similar performances as the one he had today, but I'm not holding by breath.

HE'S NOT DONE YET!!! Who's the idiot that made this thread anyway?
I agree, he just doesn't match up well with Atlanta, but will be essential in guarding Big Z.

Come on, he guarde Josh Smith most of the time, how PJ can stop Josh... He's not done, he can contribute with teams who got real 4's.

He didn't guard Smith, he's a 5 who guarded Pacchulia and Horford--and he did an excellent job on Horford today.

In Game 6 he guarded Josh for 2 infinite minutes...
