Sorta OT: Pierce Question

People always talk about the "Indiana Series Incident" with Pierce a few years back and I really don't remember hearing anything about it. Can someone explain to me what it was?
Edit: If it refers to the stabbing, I guess I just never put 2 and 2 together.

The "Indiana Incident" is a reference to Pierce getting two techs and getting tossed in a playoff game. Basically Tinsley fouled Pierce a little too hard and Pierce "barely" shoved him with his forearm. Tinsley flops and *bam* technical. Instead of leaving with "grace" Pierce takes off his shirt and waves it about. I actually thought it was kind of cool.

I thought it was pretty hilarious when he showed up to the press conference with ice around his jaw. It was kind of a joke that he got tossed.

It has nothing to do with the stabbing. Pierce was hit in the face by Jamaal Tinsley but no foul was called. He pushed Tinsley away and got called for an offensive. He argued with the referee and got tossed from the game. After the game, before the press conference, he wrapped his chin in a huge bandage to make it look like he was seriously hurt and had needed medical care. However it was obvious that it was a fake bandage and Pierce had put it on by himself to try to prove that he was "mugged."

Wow, that's even worse of a flop than I remember. Mike Tyson couldn't knock over John Stockton that easily. I can't believe these announcers. Awful coverage.
I don't remember everyone wanting Pierce gone after that, though. I don't doubt it, of course.

A huge flop by Tinsley. At most that is an offensive foul.

I don't remember ever being as upset as I was at that moment. Screw Tinsley.
Also those announcers are freaking (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Honestly I thought that was seriously funny. I swear to god sports announcers can be really boring and uptight they way they harped on him non-stop for that..
To me that and the AI "practice" incident are the two funniest BBall incidents ever. Of course PP was TRYING to be funny so he deserves more love.
