Is Lebron the biggest FLOPPER in the league?
Seriously, if he gets bumped from the back, he tilts his head backward and grabs his face as if he's just been punched. If he gets tripped, he tilts his head backward and grabs his face as if he's just been shot. If someone walks/runs/blows by him, he grabs his face as if his eyes were poked out of him. The worst part of it all is that the refs bite every time.
What the hell??? He's ruining the game this way!
I had more respect for Lebron before the series began, but after watching him flop his way to several FTs he shouldn't have had, I'm losing respect for him really fast.
The league should be ashamed of itself for marketing this guy as its face of the future. The true saviors of the league (Bird, Magic & MJ) were real tough guys who never flopped their way through a game. But this guy Lebron is a freakin' FLOPPER and his BS act really taints the game.

I don't remember Larry, Magic or MJ doing this crap. Sure, MJ got calls later in his career, but he had earned that right after all the physical pounding he took from the league especially Detroit and New York. And Michael (or Larry and Magic) NEVER, EVER flopped his way through a game in his career.
Lebron is a great player, but he's still a pussy.

Wouldn't you do it if it was helping you win games. He gets more free throws because of it. I don't blame him for doing this. Look at Paul Pierce, he throws his arms up and yells when he goes inside.

Its a part of the game nowadays. I think it started happening more and more since the 90's. I'm always hearing players yell "And 1".

Can you imagine if Lebron got REALLY hacked like Pierce and Rondo were in the ATL series? What a pussy...

Honestly, I'd like to think no. The older players never did it and those guys would run through **** brick walls to win games.
Of course they knew they wouldn't get away with that **** back then. Not so nowadays.

Yup. LeBron didnt do much of this his first few years in the league and watching Pierce get call after call from doing it for years had most of us Cavs fans wishing LeBron would pick it up off him. I know it doesnt seem as bad when its someone on your own team, but Pierce definately does this as much as anyone not named Kobe, Manu, or Redd.

Flopping is a disgusting, weak, underhanded tactic that I hate whenever I see anyone do it, whether they're wearing Celtic green or not.
Still, LeBron does tend to do it a lot. He needs to take Chopper Reid's advice.

Are you kidding? Do you know how many fouls go uncalled in the league? You gotta sell the fouls too. NBA is an ultra competitive league. No one is going to give you caca. It's their job to do whatever it takes to win. If you need to exaggerate a call to get the ref's attention, then so be it.
That's the difference between being a winner and being a loser. Winners go out and get the win and Losers complain about the winners.
In the NBA, nothing is beneath losing and everything is beneath winning.

This thread should never have been started. I don't know where some of you get this stuff.
First of all, its a well-known, widely-accepted fact that the kings of flopping in the league are the Spurs. Tony Parker goes flying every time someone bumps him. Manu Ginobili seemingly defies the laws of physics, amplifying the F=ma equation to the point where even Refs are confused. Robert Horry is still doing his thing.
Second of all, I think Pierce flails his arms more than Lebron does. Pierce always has this pained look on his face like he is getting abused out there. That's not to say that he doesn't get fouled cuz he does, and I still love him regardless.
Third of all, the problem of flopping in the NBA lies not with the players but with the system and the refs. If the refs call the fouls, the players will continue to sell the flops. It's pretty simple. Every great player "sells" the foul. There's nothing wrong with selling it if you really did get fouled. You have to draw attentino to yourself to make sure that you really do get the call and the refs don't miss it or blow it.
What the refs need to learn is how to distinguish between situations where someone really does get fouled and sells the foul, and situations where someone doesn't actually get fouled but tries to sell it anyway. If the refs can learn how to do that and put their whistles away, players will slowly stop flopping once they realize that it's not working. And then they will go to whatever else they can use to gain an edge. That's just sports for ya.
