It's on the wiretap. Says they will entertain offers. I would think they would look to move AI not Melo.

melo is a loser.

AI is a winner.

move melo and you will get A LOT back. Nuggies should do that.

It's nuts really. There are plenty of players in the NBA that GM's would "entertain" offers for ... that doesn't make them on the block.

melo on the block? get my boy outta denver.

people can hate on melo all they want, i know hes not always as mature as he should be but neither am i (were both still 24).

let me put this question to you, what about the coaching? melo improved more under boeheim in one season than his whole career in denver.

The article is pure speculation on the writer's part. It doesn't even specifically focus on Carmelo. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

AI??? Winner???? you must have a Melo-esque hookup

It's pretty irresponsible for the writer and for RealGM to put it up there like that, IMO.

It would be a real stupid move for Denver to go public with this information, too...

I don't even know what this means?

My view is this. AI is very similar to my man Paul Pierce.

Why? Both are great scorers who have a tendancy to will their teams to victory and have a knack for getting to the line.

Also, like Pierce
1) He is a warrior
2) He is an emotional player (hates to lose)
3) He plays his heart out every game.

I'd rather have Pierce, and obviously they play different positions... but you get my point.

Melo is more like TMac. He has the talent but no heart.

maybe the AI to Boston rumors will start up again. This time, we'll trade DEN, Al Jefferson's dirty socks he left in his locker.

Iverson has taken a team to the finals, albeit in a big down year for the east, he has been a winner in this league. He's been the scoring champion numerous times. I don't particularly like his game(especially the acting), but the effort is always there with Iverson, and he'll play through multiple injuries.

Melo's not getting moved and if he were, it'd be a huge mistake. The guy's good enough to be a legit 1st option on a contending team, but Denver's built their team terribly around him. I don't care about the distractions or lack of defense, a player with his offensive skillset is not easy to replace. Trade AI if anything and get some semblance of perimeter defense going on that team. The guy would be a very attractive talent and expiring contract to a lot of teams.

Carmelo is a good starter, nothing more, imo. As far as his counting numbers are concerned, he uses a ton of his team's possessions (30.2% of all possessions when he is on the floor) and his team plays at a very fast pace (1st in the league.)

He is a good rebounder for a SF, yes, but he doesn't really play defense (he gambles way too much), he is somewhat turnover prone (especially when considering that he isn't really involving any teammates when accumulating those turnovers) and he has already had multiple questions of his character.

That is not to say I wouldn't want him on the Celtics, though. As stated, I think he is a good-to-very good starter. A couple steps below all-star level, if you will. He is a better player than Ray Allen (I have already stated I wouldn't mind moving Ray in the right deal, fwiw) but if he was truly available my best offer would be Ray, Davis and Scalabrine for Melo and Nene. Final offer. It's highway robbery in the Celtics favor but Denver gets salary relief and more mature by shuttling Melo. At least on the Celtics he would have solid veterans to keep him in line.

His game is identical to Paul Pierce's when he was 23. It is amazing how much they are alike. Even with the attitude on the court. The sulking, volume shooting, no D at all. They might be the same person for all I know.
